Trudeau and Zelensky Gave Standing Ovation to a Nazi Soldier- Failure to Check History?

An International Incident Ensued

A failure to check history is a problem that America is having at the present time. But our neighbors to the North, Canada, also stepped in it at a meeting of the House of Commons when the entire chamber issued a standing ovation over a man called a “Canadian and Ukrainian hero from WWII.” Except…he was a member of an SS battalion that reportedly may have participated in the mass murder of not only Jews but others in WWII. He was a Nazi soldier. Apparently, Trudeau and Zelensky, nor their Speaker of the House, failed to pay attention to the resume of their “hero.”

UPDATE: The Speaker of the Canadian House, MP Anthony Rota resigned after the upheaval over the Nazi soldier that was given a standing ovation.

Yaroslav Hunka, age 98

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“In the caption of a picture published by the Associated Press showing Zelensky and Trudeau standing and applauding Hunka, the news wire service identified Hunka as a former member of the “First Ukrainian Division in World War II”. The division is also known as the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Galician), a division comprised mostly of Ukrainian volunteers after being established by Nazi Germany in 1943.

Despite the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg in 1946 concluding that the Waffen-SS was guilty of “many massacres and atrocities in occupied territories,” the government of Canada in 1950 decided to allow Ukrainians who served in the Waffen-SS to be admitted into the country from the UK. “These Ukrainians should be subject to special security screening, but should not be rejected on the grounds of their service in the German army,” the Canadian cabinet said at the time.” Breitbart

It appears that Canada also pays no attention to the details of immigrants.

The sad fact is that Canada and Ukraine have often taken heat for Nazi connections. The Ukraine has the Azov Battalion, and Canada has Chrystia Freeland, whose grandfather was a Nazi Collaborator according to Canadian Media.

Kinda gives new meaning to Justin Trudeau’s nickname of ” Black-face Hitler” doesn’t it? A short double check of history would have saved these guys from the international embarrassment of giving a standing ovation to a Nazi soldier.
