Tim Kaine says Clinton talks to the press a lot, CNN panel laughs
Hillary Clinton’s running mate, Democratic vice presidential candidate Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), appeared on CBS News on Thursday when he was questioned about Clinton’s lack of holding press conferences and his response drew laughs from a CNN panel.
CNN’s John King and his panel laughed after playing the Kaine interview response when Kaine said, “Well I don’t see what the massive difference is between a press conference and talking to the press everywhere you go. She talks to the press a lot… and I have been with her when she’s talked to the press.”
After the video was played, King said, “Uh-huh,” and the rest of the panel laughed at the absurd response. CNN panel member, Sara Murray, mentioned that Republican nominee Donald Trump is not good with the press either although Trump has held at least 14 press conferences.
Matt Vespa, Associate Editor at Townhall.com who reported on this story said, “True—but Trump has held at least 14 press conferences. They’re intense, with Trump even calling some reporters ‘sleaze,’ but he talks to them. A testy exchange is better than nothing at all. It’s certainly more than what Clinton is doing at present.”
“Yeah, Kaine is playing his role as a running mate well, though he’s using soggy powder to fight against the various narratives against Clinton.”
