You may never have heard of the Federal Agency within the Department of Justice known as the CRS, or “Community Relations Service.” But appears to be an partisan organization that supposedly ‘helps’ communities make decisions when tensions escalate over racial, or national origin issues. Does the organization help ease the problems, or actually inflame them? The Daily Wire is suing the agency for hiding its records from public view.
CRS claimed the following on their website:
“CRS serves as “America’s Peacemaker” for communities facing conflict based on actual or perceived race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or disability. CRS works toward its mission by providing facilitated dialogue, mediation, training, and consultation to assist these communities to come together, develop solutions to the conflict, and enhance their capacity to independently prevent and resolve future conflict.
All CRS services are confidential and provided on a voluntary basis, free of charge to the communities. CRS is not an investigatory or prosecutorial agency and does not have any law enforcement authority. CRS works with all parties to develop solutions to conflict and serves as a neutral party.” CRS website
The CRS is directly responsible to Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta, a Democrat whose purpose is to advance the President’s ‘environmental justice’ initiatives, protect reproductive freedoms
(read that abortion), and other leftwing causes. So no one should be surprised by the leftist bent of the CRS.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Because it tends to be partisan in favor of leftist narratives, President Trump attempted to defund the group but was unsuccessful – a product of the entrenched swamp in DC. In 2009, the Hate Crimes Prevention Act widened their jurisdiction to being able to step in to alleged hate crime investigations. ‘They’re from the government and they’re here to help’ sort of thing. Except that the Daily Wire alleges that their push to force a school board away from Gov Youngkin’s policies did just the opposite and escalated division in Virginia. Add to that, the CRS agency’s refusal to even acknowledge FOIA requests has caused a lawsuit.
“This summer, it attempted to thwart the will of voters in a deep-red county in Virginia by pressuring the local school board to have the federal government ‘mediate whether the school district adopts Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s transgender policies. As justification, CRS cited “community tensions,” alluding to the fact that a leftist activist had been arrested for an alleged crime while trying to stop the policy’s adoption.
The move appeared to reward criminal behavior and subvert democracy, through which voters had already chosen a school board who represented their views. A spokeswoman for Youngkin said CRS was acting as “a political arm of the Democratic Party.”
After The Daily Wire in August obtained the email showing a CRS “conciliation specialist,” Hannah Levine, emailing the Roanoke, Virginia school board to offer “support and services,” it filed a FOIA for further emails from Levine. CRS did not even acknowledge the request.” The Daily Wire
The letters CRS are found throughout the internet. They can stand for Catholic Relief Services. or medical information. But even though it technically has no law enforcement capability, it is just another weapon the leftists are using to keep their radical agendas alive without the public understanding what is really going on.
