While Democrats in the Federal government abdicate their responsibilities and seek instead to consolidate their political power, Operation Lone Star is gearing up to do what Team Biden won’t.
Do any of the following words sound familiar?
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Justice?
Domestic Tranquility?
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Common defense?
Is that what Joe Biden is doing by embracing policies that encourage foreigners to swarm the border, preferring illegal entry to lawful Green Card applications, dumping (sometimes Covid-19 infected) newcomers into an unsuspecting population, with no obvious means of supporting themselves, so that they will add pressure to an already strained social safety net in the middle of a pandemic?
Gov. Abbott blasted Joe Biden’s policy for putting Texans at risk…
Is throwing open our borders REALLY a sane course of action while we have an unresolved homeless crisis within our borders? Of course not. But sanity isn’t something we would look to DC for very often, is it?
Joe claims to be defending the greater good, when we have it from the emails of their own people that the real reason for throwing open the doors to illegal immigration is entirely about entrenching their own electoral advantage.
Meanwhile, the same party that lectures us about the evils of walls and the federal enforcement defense of a perimeter that protecting insiders from outsiders gives us a Capitol that looks like this:
Right.
Meanwhile, in the real world, adults have to look for real solutions to real problems, even when those problems are made on purpose by chowderheads in DC.
We already mentioned one Texas legislator who put forward an initiative that would resume the building of the wall Trump had begun. While we wait to see where that initiative goes, we have a more immediate response in play.
Operation Lone Star. Gov Abbott tweeted:
Today Texas launched Operation Lone Star to respond to the border crisis.
It deploys Nat’l Guard + DPS Officers + air, ground, marine, & tactical border security assets to deny Mexican Cartels & smugglers the ability to move drugs & people into Texas.
The Governor made his purpose clear:
The crisis at our southern border continues to escalate because of Biden Administration policies that refuse to secure the border and invite illegal immigration,” said Governor Abbott. “Texas supports legal immigration but will not be an accomplice to the open border policies that cause, rather than prevent, a humanitarian crisis in our state and endanger the lives of Texans. We will surge the resources and law enforcement personnel needed to confront this crisis. –KFOX
What will that look like?
Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas Department of Public Safety launched Operation Lone Star on Saturday to focus on smuggling at the southern border of Texas, according to a release from the governor’s office.
Operation Lone Star will send law enforcement personnel and resources to “high threat areas” of the border “to deny Mexican Cartels and other smugglers the ability to move drugs and people into Texas,” the release says.
The decision comes after a February meeting with Director of the Texas Department of Public Safety Colonel Steve McCraw about security at the border and what a release said were COVID-19 health concerns. According to the Feb. 9 release, Abbott and McCraw discussed “a recent surge of immigrants at Texas’ southern border and noted that this influx is related to the Biden Administration’s reinstatement of the ‘catch and release’ policy.” –KXAN
