Ted Koppel to Sean Hannity: You’re bad for America
Call this a case study in liberal media arrogance and condescension. During a segment that aired on CBS “Sunday Morning,” special contributor Ted Koppel told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that he is bad for America and contributes to what CBS News called the “increased antipathy toward opposing viewpoints that is prevalent in America.”
“We have to give some credit to the American people that they’re somewhat intelligent and that they know the difference between an opinion show and a news show,” Hannity told Koppel.”
The Hill added:
“You’re cynical,” he added.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Koppel conceded he was cynical, to which Hannity responded:”Do you think we’re bad for America? You think I’m bad for America?”
“Yeah,” Koppel responded. “In the long haul I think you and all these opinion shows” are.
Hannity told Koppel it was “sad” he felt that way.
“No, you know why? Because you’re very good at what you do,” Koppel said, adding, “You have attracted people who are determined that ideology is more important than facts.”
Here’s video of Koppel’s comments:
Hannity responded sharply, noting that he conducted a 45-minute interview which was chopped down to only two minutes:

He also gave his Twitter followers a look at what happened behind the scenes:

He also observed a bit of hypocrisy on Koppel’s part:

He later told another Twitter user that he personally likes Koppel, but called his editing “fake.”

Make no mistake, this is all part of the effort by the organized left — which includes the dinosaur media, what we call the “Democrat-media complex” — to silence anyone whose political views fall somewhere to the right of Josef Stalin.
It’s interesting to note that Koppel said nothing about the violent left which has been busy doing everything it can to foment confrontations ever since last November’s election.
Goebbels and Saul Alinsky would be proud of Koppel and CBS…
