Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, has tackled President Trump over many things. But fed up with California’s approach to the pandemic, he tweeted, “Take the red pill” on Sunday. Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Take the red pill refers to a line in the Matrix in which the hero, Neo, is told to choose between a red pill and a blue pill. The red pill would free him from the “dream life” imposed on humanity and return him to reality. It is often used as a reference to becoming conservative after being liberal. It appears Elon Musk has had enough of the loss of freedom from the lockdown orders.
Musk’s Tesla plant is in Fremont, Alameda County, which was locked down by Dr. Erica Pan, California Interim Public Health Officer. When he announced he was going to reopen, the County was against it. They relented and said he could reopen the plant on May 18 (today) IF the situation was “safe.” He had already opened it. He even told authorities that he would be on the line, and to arrest him instead of his workers.

A “great awakening” during this pandemic? People have gotten a taste of the real fascists, the real socialism. And Elon Musk appears to be among them.

The expansion of shelter-in-place, or as we call it, forcibly imprisoning people in their homes, against all their constitutional rights, is, in my opinion, breaking people’s freedoms in ways that are horrible and wrong, and not why people came to America and built this country. …If somebody wants to stay in the house that’s great. They should be allowed to stay in the house and they should not be compelled to leave. But to say that they cannot leave their house and they will be arrested if they do… this is fascist. This is not democratic. This is not freedom. Elon Musk has threatened to move his plant Texas/Nevada considering the way they’ve been treated in California. On May 9, he tweeted:
“Frankly, this is the final straw. Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately. If we even retain Fremont manufacturing activity at all, it will be dependen on how Tesla is treated in the future. Tesla is the last carmaker left in CA…
Tesla is filing a lawsuit against Alameda County immediately. The unelected & ignorant “Interim Health Officer” of Alameda is acting contrary to the Governor, the President, our Constitutional freedoms & just plain common sense!”
So at least one person has “seen the light.” We hope thousands more will understand from this unconstitutional junk going on that being able to work, put food on the table, and keep the lights burning is important.
