Stephen King gets clock cleaned on Twitter after calling GOP train crash ‘karma’

As we reported, a train carrying a number of Republican members of Congress to a retreat struck a large truck, killing at least one person and injuring others. Author Stephen King called the crash “karma” and got his clock cleaned on Twitter.
“A trainload of Republicans on their way to a pricey retreat hit a garbage truck. My friend Russ calls that ‘karma,’” he tweeted.

Even Piers Morgan wasn’t impressed.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
“A man died in that crash, you despicable man,” he said.

Many others weighed in as well:

Really? One dead and one critical. However because republicans were on the train you find that to be Karma? The hatred on the left has zero boundaries

Making jokes when a person dies. Sad.

Well @StephenKing it’s the truck driver who got killed & another truck passenger badly injured. The people on the train are ok ‘& continued on to their retreat so how is that Karma

One person burned King with a reminder of his own hypocrisy:

Apparently, King didn’t like the responses he received and issued another tweet that read, “Of COURSE sorry the truck driver died.”
Of COURSE sorry the truck driver died.

He also issued an “apology” for his initial thoughtless tweet: “A rather thoughtless tweet from me concerning the train-truck crash, for which I apologize (if one is necessary). It should be pointed out, too, that those Republican politicians, who can be heartless when they vote, immediately got out to help.”

Too late…
King, of course, wasn’t the only left-wing ghoul to jump the shark over the accident as we reported here.
This kind of reaction to any incident in which Republicans or conservatives face injury or death has become, sadly, par for the rabid, hateful left. In February 2011, I first said that liberalism, at its core, is an ideology of rage and hate. As we’ve seen many times since, that hatred has become bloodthirsty and even genocidal.
This is the Borg-like collective known as the modern American left. Let that sink in.
