State Department’s USAID wants more money — Why?

The United States has over $22 trillion in debt. One of the biggest areas that many of the people who voted for President Trump have said and say that could help lower that number is by stopping the charity to other countries. USAID Administrator Mark Green went to Congress on April 9 and asked for $2.4 billion more for their budget. That means $2.4 billion more going out to other countries instead of being cut from the budget.

Who is USAID?

USAID is one of two things. To the public, it is the main way for the United States to distribute money to those who are in need in foreign countries. The other thing that the agency does is act as part of the U.S. intelligence community. Part of the way that it works within the intelligence community is by giving money to governments and people. Another way is by claiming to want to help develop democracies. The last way that the group is part intelligence is by allowing access to foreign nations in the guise of USAID employees.

While the public reason for the creation by President Kennedy was for the giving of foreign aid, there have been several instances where it has tried to get regime change. Cuba seems to be getting the most attention currently. That means that the public face is hiding something the taxpayers should know more about.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The budget request

One of the areas that Administrator Green talks about in his speech to Congress is where leaders of countries talk about free elections, but do not follow through. The entire agency claims to be about foreign aid. The United States is dealing with the backlash against it because the people coming from Central America come from nations that had a regime change under the Obama Administration. No matter who the President in office may be, the executive branch continues to want to change countries. How many people die from this?

Another area that the increased budget request is for dealing with the Indo-Pacific region. Trying to combat China is the main reason for this. The problem is, depending on the U.S. President policy changes. China has only grown its influences, not changed depending on an election. People remember this in that region. The problem is, that whatever is done during this administration, there could be a “180” with the next election. That means the money spent now will be wasted.

People who voted for Trump

The people who voted for Trump talk about the need to cut the budget. One of the ways that is brought up is to quit sending money to other nations. This request seems to be saying that what Trump supporters say does not matter. For that matter, it seems that this is yet another way to spend money on intelligence actions that fail.
