It’s fairly obvious that the left doesn’t mind going out of their way to defame Donald Trump in ever more clever ways, week after week. This has been their ad nauseam M.O. for as long as the The Don has been in the political world.
But, as is often the case, the latest attempt to imbue some shock and awe on the Trump name may have crossed a very sensitive line.
James Carville is predicting that former President Trump’s alleged mishandling of official documents could be the most significant story in a generation, with the potential to help transform the midterm elections.
“This Mar-a-Lago story … might be the biggest story since 9/11,” the Democratic strategist told The Hill in an on-camera interview. “That’s not going anywhere.”
And, as if this absurd comparison wasn’t enough, Carville would go on to insult the whole of the GOP as well:
“The problem the Republican Party has is, they got really stupid people that vote in their primaries. And … really stupid people demand to have really stupid leaders. That’s where the Republican Party is now,” he said.
Carville has long been known for his belligerent takes on today’s politics, but comparing Donald Trump hanging on to some possibly-declassified documents under lock and key at Mar-a-Lago is a far cry from a terror attack that killed 3,000 Americans and set off a global war on terror.
