St. Louis Authorities Confiscate Rifle From Couple Defending Home From Mob, No Charges Filed
It seems that residents wanting to defend their homes from a mob are no longer allowed to exercise their Second Amendment rights in the city of St. Louis. On Friday, KSDK reported that police seized a rifle used by Mark McCloskey, the St. Louis resident who used the weapon to defend his home from a group of protesters who threatened to kill him and his wife.
KSDK said it “is not aware of any charges against the McCloskeys at this time, and the warrant served Friday evening was just for the guns.”
The report adds:
Late Friday evening 5 On Your Side confirmed attorney Al Watkins was no longer representing the McCloskeys, and that attorney Joel Schwartz had taken over. Schwartz confirmed a search warrant was issued at 8 p.m. Friday night, but would not say what was taken from the home. Schwartz also said he does not know where the handgun is.
Schwartz told 5 On Your Side he does not believe charges are warranted against the McCloskeys and that he hopes to meet with St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner’s office next week, but that there is no official appointment at this time.

Dana Loesch excoriated officials for stripping the McCloskeys of their Second Amendment rights:

She also noted that leftists in St. Louis are working to defund police in the city.
In my hometown of St. Louis they’re pushing to defund the police and punish you for defending your life alone by seizing your property and stripping you of your constitutional rights without due process. This isn’t law and order, it’s tyranny.

A post at the Gateway Pundit informs us that St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner is not only a hand-picked George Soros puppet, but she has a long history of outrageous behavior. For example, Jim Hoft said, she “released all rioters and looters from jail without charges in the recent St. Louis Black Lives Matter riots.”
But residents who legally own firearms are targeted and have their weapons seized without due process.
