People use Snopes when PolitiFact isn’t quite biased enough, right? They had to correct themselves three times when they attempted to accuse Elon Musk’s Starlink of causing the Titan submarine from OceanGate to go missing. As far as the submarine, the US Coast Guard reported on June 22 that they found a debris field near the wreck of the Titanic. Forbes reported that parts of the submarine were spotted.

The “Polar Prince”, or (mothership) support vessel for the adventure does use Starlink – but Starlink is a satellite internet provider, not a ship – to ship radio. WiFi internet does not work several miles under the ocean. THAT’s science, Snopes. The support vessel lost contact with the Titan on Sunday, which sparked the search.
The debris field was located by an ROV (Remote-operated vehicle) and reportedly contained the external body of the submersible.

How, or to what extent, the vessel’s mothership was using Starlink to communicate remained unknown.” Fox
Note that leftists have not supported Elon Musk since he purchased Twitter. Snopes is well-known as a viciously leftist platform that “fact checks” with consistently biased content.
