Responding to a Washington Post article that says ICE is set to start rounding up illegal migrant families that have received deportation orders, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., whined and engaged in fearmongering, claiming that the raids are simply President Trump playing to his base.
“When things aren’t going well, @realDonaldTrump plays to his base Instead of putting forth solutions to fix our broken immigration system, instead of pursuing criminals, he threatens to tear families apart This isn’t leadership This is inhumane & unwise,” he said on Twitter.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Okay, maybe we went just a tad bit overboard, but it sure seems to us that Schumer is acting like a whiny crybaby stomping his feet because he didn’t get his way.
It could be that maybe Schumer is upset that some of his future voters may be getting arrested. Or it could just be the knee-jerk reaction we’ve come to expect from Democrats.
Twitchy correctly noted: “It’s incredibly ironic that Schumer accuses Trump of ‘playing to his base’ by enforcing immigration laws when Chuck’s the one playing to the Dem base.”
Indeed.
At any rate, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., responded to Schumer, reminding him of what he refused to mention.
“@SenSchumer conveniently omits that these illegal aliens’ cases have been heard & rejected, hence they’re under valid orders of removals.
If illegal aliens with final orders of removal can’t be deported, who can be? Democrats have a radical, open-borders position,” he tweeted.
