Opinion: Republicans need to formally charge Dems, allies with seditious conspiracy to remove Trump

As we and others have reported recently, the Democrats have engaged in a secret Soviet-style “impeachment” inquiry that basically amounts to a coup d’etat against a duly-elected president.

Not only are they holding secret hearings, they refuse to let anyone see the transcripts of those hearings — not even Republican members of the House. No doubt, this is being done so Schiff and his fellow conspirators can twist and spin what was said behind closed doors.

The situation got so bad that a group of Republicans were forced to storm a hearing on Wednesday.

Several Republicans now say Schiff is threatening them with ethics charges.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Yes

Ethics charges? Really? For attempting to stop Schiff’s secret coup d’etat?

Republicans have tried censuring Schiff for his ongoing lies and mischaracterizations. Democrats, however, circled the wagons and got the resolution tabled.

Democrats like Hillary Clinton have made it clear they must impeach Donald Trump because they cannot beat him at the ballot box.

“We have a number of very able, very admirable candidates who are vying for the nomination, but at the end of the day, there are a lot of forecasters who are saying, ‘Look, if the economy stays in good shape and he’s not impeached, or he’s impeached but not convicted, it’s going to be very, very hard,’ because of all of the advantages that he will have on the stuff we were just talking about like suppression and everything else,” Clinton said.

She’s not the only one.

“I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach this president, he will get re-elected,” Democrat Al Green said.

The truth is, Democrats know they cannot beat Donald Trump in an honest election. So they’ve apparently decided to enact what amounts to a coup d’etat to get rid of him. And the mainstream media is 100 percent behind that effort.

What Republicans did on Wednesday was good, but it doesn’t go far enough. Democrats and their liberal allies have wanted to impeach Trump from the day he was elected, facts and truth be damned.

What’s happening now is nothing less than a seditious conspiracy intended to illegally oust Trump.

According to U.S. Code § 2384, which deals with seditious conspiracy:

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

It’s time for Republicans to take off the gloves and start fighting back. They need to formally charge Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Jerrold Nadler and all the other Democrats involved in this sham “impeachment” with seditious conspiracy against Donald Trump. No doubt there are some “never-Trump” Republicans who deserve scrutiny.

They also need to investigate the role played by liberal media outlets which have also been pushing for this since Trump’s election and if necessary, arrest and charge those who may be involved.

The alternative is something far too terrible to imagine.
