Rand Paul: Fauci’s Shot Bias Is Costing Thousands Of Lives (Video)

This story was originally published by the WND News Center.

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who often has clashed with Anthony Fauci, Joe Biden’s adviser on COVID-19 and in fact sent a criminal referral to the Department of Justice accusing him of lying to Congress, now is openly blaming the federal official for “thousands” of deaths from COVID-19.

It’s because of Fauci’s “bias” regarding vaccinations.

Fox News reported on the senator’s newest comments which were made in an interview on the Ron Paul Liberty Report.

“I think Fauci is of the philosophy that vaccines are incredibly successful and are the way to go versus therapeutics, for example. So with regard to AIDS, he was involved as the AIDS epidemic came up, he wanted to develop a vaccine,” the senator said.

“There’s nothing wrong with that. He wanted to develop a vaccine. Vaccines can be great for polio or smallpox are wonderful. It didn’t actually work for AIDS.”

The senator, who also is a physician, said, “I would venture to say that thousands of people die in our country every month now from COVID because [Fauci] deemphasized the idea that there are therapeutics.”

He charged that Fauci has a reputation for being biased toward vaccines. But he said Fauci “routinely ignores the science” and focuses not on therapeutics in favor of shots.

Fox reported, “Paul has previously said that monoclonal antibodies ‘are one of the most promising treatments for the virus’ after a person has been infected, but that misinformation on the antibody treatment plagues ‘government bureaucrats.’”

Just weeks ago, Paul wrote, “Recent data showed that monoclonal antibody treatment cuts the risk of death and hospitalization by 70% in high-risk patients and reduces the chance of infection among a household by 80%. Monoclonal antibodies have only just begun to be mentioned by the mainstream media, and misinformation still plagues government bureaucrats when discussing this scientifically-backed treatment.”

Fauci’s agenda on masks and shots was supplemented just this week when he suggested a requirement for people to accept the experimental COVID shots in order to be allowed on domestic flights.

“I think that’s something that seriously should be considered,” he said.

Paul previously suggested Fauci was lying about the effectiveness of natural immunity because it “foils his plans to get everybody possible vaccinated.”

WND reported last month that Paul and Fauci sparred on Fauci’s involvement in “gain-of-function” research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where COVID is thought to have originated.

Fauci, as President Biden’s top health adviser and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, was being confronted during a hearing of the Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee about the recent admission by the National Institutes of Health that it funded a grant to EcoHealth Alliance with a sub-award to the Wuhan lab.

“Dr. Fauci, I don’t expect you today to admit that you approved of NIH funding for a gain of function research in Wuhan, but your repeated denials have worn thin,” Paul began, referring to the manipulation of viruses to make them transmissible to humans and more dangerous.

“The facts are clear. The NIH did fund gain of function research in Wuhan despite your protestations,” said Paul.

Fauci called “gain of function” a “very nebulous term” prompting the senator to charge that he was “defining away” the concept.

See that exchange:

Fauci claimed he has no responsibility for the pandemic.

Previously, WND reported Francis Collins announced his resignation as NIH director shortly after molecular biologist Richard Ebright said government documents reported by The Intercept “make it clear that assertions by the NIH Director, Francis Collins, and the NIAID Director, Anthony Fauci, that the NIH did not support gain-of-function research or potential pandemic pathogen enhancement at WIV are untruthful.”

See clips of Paul’s confrontation of Fauci:

In July, Paul sent a criminal referral to the Department of Justice accusing Fauci of lying to Congress about his role in funding research at the Wuhan lab.

Fauci is seen on video at a January 2018 NIAID Advisory Council meeting announcing the reinstatement of gain-of-function research and defending its use.
