On Monday, legendary actor Robin Williams was found dead in his home at the age of 63.
According to reports, he died of asphyxia in an apparent suicide. The actual cause of death has not been reported.
“At this time, the Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made,” the Marin County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release. “A forensic examination is currently scheduled for August 12, 2014 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.”

The sheriff’s office said they received a 911 phone call at approximately 11:55 a.m. reporting an unconscious male not breathing inside his home. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the area where they pronounced Williams dead at 12:02 p.m.
