Prominent Democrat Lawmaker’s Kid Gets Arrested For Attacking Cops In Riot

Katherine Clark may not be a household name, but as the minority House Whip, she does have a position of some significance.

It was inevitable, then, that she would come under scrutiny when the hard stand she took against participants in the chaos at the Capitol on Jan 6, 2021 intersects with criminal action taken up by her immediate family.

Here is an exerpt from a press release highlighting the tough stand Clark took on participants of J6. She didn’t pull any punches in the language she used to describe them.

Assistant Speaker Katherine Clark (MA-5) voted today to pass the Emergency Security Supplemental to Respond to January 6th Appropriations Act that would respond to the events of insurrection with $1.9 billion in funding to provide for safe Congressional operations. Informed by the recommendations of the Task Force 1-6 Capitol Security Review led by Lieutenant General (Retired) Russel L. Honoré and comprised of senior retired military leaders and law enforcement experts, it will secure the safety of the Capitol, protect facilities, members, employees, and visitors.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“The January 6 insurrection was a seditious attempt to overthrow our democracy. The perpetrators behind the attacks were not afraid to use violence, and the tragic results included loss of life, injuries, property destruction, and emotional trauma for the entire community, from staff to Capitol Police,” said Assistant Speaker Clark. “This emergency supplemental appropriation will pay to fix the physical damage caused on January 6 and strengthen Capitol security for the future, helping us to both rebuild and heal.”

It lists a number of specific line items that will be financed by this legislation including these two in particular:

  • Supporting the Capitol Police with overtime pay, retention bonuses, equipment replacement, and wellness and trauma support.
  • Prosecuting the hundreds of perpetrators who attacked law enforcement and defiled our temple of democracy.

It’s easy to rage at strangers and throw the book at someone you have already made up you mind to hate.

The real test of principle is whether you apply that same standard to people closer to home.

It doesn’t get much closer to home than that. And for anyone confused by the discrepancy of those reports coming up with different genders, the kid’s given name was Jared. We’ll let our readers sort out the particulars of how that can be best understood in their own minds.

Police said officers responded to a report at the Parkman Bandstand Monument located within the Boston Common. They found a person, identified as Dowell, a resident of Melrose, defacing the monument with spray paint and anti-police phrases, according to police.
During the arrest, “a group of about 20 protesters began to surround officers while screaming profanities though megaphones on the public street causing traffic to come to a standstill,” police said, adding that “an officer was hit in the face and could be seen bleeding from the nose and mouth.”
Dowell was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon, destruction or injury of personal property, and damage of property by graffiti/tagging, police said.

What triggered the riot? It was apparently in solidarity with the Atlanta riot. THIS Atlanta riot:

The Atlanta riot began with a local Antifa chapter calling for a ‘night of rage’. That night of rage is quickly summed up here:

Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum told reporters that multiple protesters were found with explosive devices on them. One of the devices was used to set an Atlanta Police car on fire.
Protesters — who hit the streets after calls for a “Night of Rage” by Antifa members — were also seen throwing bricks at Atlanta Police Department vehicles smashing property, 11Alive reported.
…Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp condemned the protesters’ actions Saturday night. “Violence and unlawful destruction of property are not acts of protest,” he tweeted. “They are crimes that will not be tolerated in Georgia and will be prosecuted fully.”
