Pro-Trump Legal Group Investigating Biden Regime’s Coordination With Big Tech: Report

How much coordination is there between the Biden Regime and Big Tech?  That’s what America First Legal, a pro-Trump legal group run by former Trump administration officials, wants to find out, the Epoch Times reported on Saturday.

According to the report, the group “…filed a flurry of Freedom of Information Act requests on July 16, seeking details on U.S. government agency communications relating to the current administration’s effort to push Big Tech to censor speech.”

As we and others reported, White House press secretary Jen Psaki bragged last week that the Regime is in regular touch with social media companies like Facebook and officials are “flagging problematic posts for Facebook that spread disinformation.”

Psaki, Zachary Steiber reported, claimed that “…about a dozen people produce 65 percent of ‘anti-vaccine misinformation’ on social media and suggested those people should be banned.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The report adds:

Psaki, “from the White House press room, announced that the federal government is coordinating with social media platforms to silence Americans’ voices,” Matthew Whitaker, a former acting U.S. attorney general and an America First Legal board member, told NTD, The Epoch Times’ sister media outlet.

“It sounds like they’re running some sort of a shadow information-quality department in the White House, where they’re telling social media about ‘problematic posts’ and then the social media folks take that down. That’s clearly a violation of Americans’ First Amendment rights, it is inconsistent with our long history. The government has no ability to suppress speech and that’s exactly what it’s doing right here.”

The demand for documents was sent to the Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Food and Drug Administration, and the National Institutes of Health. It seeks records about any efforts to flag COVID-19-related “misinformation” or “disinformation” to any social media company, including Facebook and Reddit, and all communications with the social media companies about the efforts.

Telling the Epoch Times that he has never seen this level of coordination during his tenure at the Department of Justice, Whitaker says the documents will reveal whether Facebook and others are acting on all of the flagged posts or whether they’re acting with some type of discretion, Steiber reported.

“The casual ease with which Psaki practically bragged about directing Big Tech to silence Americans is chilling. Authoritarian countries, not democracies, censor and blacklist their citizens,” said Stephen Miller, President of America First Legal and former Trump adviser.

“A tiny handful of companies control almost all communication in the U.S. The fact the White House has apparently admitted that they are acting as state agents and deplatforming Americans should horrify anyone and everyone who cares about civil liberties and the First Amendment,” he added.

President Trump, who has been banned from practically every major social media platform, has filed a class-action lawsuit against Facebook, Twitter, and Google.  Even the sound of his voice has been censored on Facebook.
