Preachy Pete’s Anti-Car Advisory Team Has BAD NEWS For Biden’s Beloved Corvette

Buttigieg's advisory team says owning a car is racist and bad for the planet.

This is what happens when you put ideologues with tunnel vision in advisory positions.

It’s no secret that Joe Biden loves a handful of things — chocolate chip ice cream, aviator sunglasses, sniffing women and children, and … cars.

He especially loves his 1967 Corvette Stingray which he received as a wedding gift from his father.

Biden also loves to be called “Mr. President”, but it appears he’s not so keen on the responsibilities that go along with that title. It’s quite apparent that he’s handed over the business of running the government to a handful of “experts” who tell him what his agenda will be. That’s unsurprising for a man who was an unimpressive, unintelligent, vapid husk of mediocrity even back in his spry days in the Senate.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The Biden administration has prioritized “equity” which means that anything that “disproportionately affects” any one group has to be mitigated so that it affects everyone equally. Basically, everyone should be miserable — except the special people in charge, of course. It’s a small group and you’re not in it.

In 2021, Biden signed an executive order mandating federal agencies to “pursue a comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all.”

That could lead to some bad news for Biden’s beloved ‘Vette — the advisory group on “transportation equity” claims that owning a car is racist and that all cars contribute to climate change.

Sarah Arnold writes in Townhall about the Biden admin’s push to Ban All The Things™ … including owning personal vehicles. How would Joe Biden take that news?

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg appointed an Obama-era group made up of 24 “leading experts” to advise him on “transportation equity,” claiming the privilege of owning a car ignites “systemic racism” and should be banned because of their negative impact on the environment.

Members of the Advisory Committee on Transportation Equity include “spatial policy scholar” Andrea Marpillero-Colomina, who says, “All cars are bad” and calls for “zero emission transit.”

However, she told the Free Beacon that she is not “advocating for a complete erasure” of cars but hopes to convince Buttigieg to re-direct the U.S. from relying on private motor vehicles.

Veronica Davis also claimed cars are the “problem” and divide communities because, according to her, vehicles are a “status symbol” that only privileged white people own.

“This isn’t anti-car propaganda, but vehicles have wreaked havoc on the environment and communities,” Davis said, according to her book about inclusive transportation. “Racism shaped the urban and suburban areas, where even today we see the residual effects.”
