On Friday, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the recently-elected Democrat Socialist once dubbed a “pompous little twit” for her economy-destroying Green New Deal, went nuts on Fox News in a tweet storm that revealed her complete and utter ignorance regarding the Electoral College.
“I see Fox News is big mad about abolishing the electoral college,” she said on Twitter. “So let’s talk about it. 1) If the GOP were the “silent majority” they claim, they wouldn’t be so scared of a popular vote. They *know* they aren’t the majority. They rely on establishing minority rule for power.”

a. It’s the *EC itself* that breaks down power by state, pop vote decentralizes it

Translation: AOC thinks she knows better than the Founders who wrote the Constitution.

“Lastly” wasn’t really the end of her ignorant rant, however:
4) We do not give electoral affirmative action to any other group in America. Do Black Americans have their votes count more bc they have been disenfranchised for 100s of years? Do Reservations get an electoral vote? Does Puerto Rico and US territories get them? No. They don’t.
“Electoral affirmative action?” What the heck is that? Is she actually saying certain people’s votes should count more than others?
She finally wrapped up her public demonstration of civic ignorance with a call for a national popular vote:

Given that the Electoral College is something established in the Constitution, the GOP and everyone else who reveres our founding document should fight a national popular vote.
Apparently, AOC missed the discussion of this in her history class. Assuming, of course, that she actually took a history class.
