Piers Morgan shreds Mayor Khan on jihadists in London: ‘Where are they?’ — Video

During Tuesday’s edition of “Good Morning Britain,” former CNN talking head Piers Morgan grilled London Mayor Sadiq Khan on the presence of jihadists returning to London from countries known to be hotbeds of terrorism.

According to the Daily Caller:

The interview turned to the question of terrorists returning from war torn Middle Eastern countries. Co-host Susanna Reid asked the mayor how many of the 400 hundred people abroad had returned to London.

“The estimate is just over half,” Khan said while stuttering.

“Where are they!” Morgan shouted. “No seriously, where are they?”

Khan cited budget constraints as the reason behind the city’s lack of intelligence on terror suspects.

“The Met police budget, roughly speaking, 15 to 20 percent is funded by me the mayor. The rest comes from central government” Khan said. “If the Met Police budget is being shrunk and reduced, they have to prioritize and use their resources.”

Morgan wasn’t buying the explanation, asking Khan, “what could be a bigger priority” than keeping track of known terrorists in the city.

“Why is it not the number-one priority?” he asked  “Why are these people just allowed to come back in in the first place and then, the London mayor doesn’t appear to have a clue where any of them are? I mean, no disrespect to you, but, where are they?”

Here’s video of the segment:

Morgan also gave Khan a chance to respond to criticism from President Trump and said most don’t believe that Muslims in England don’t appear to want to assimilate into Western culture despite what the mayor claims:

You may recall that Morgan was quite over-the-top with his attacks on the Second Amendment, as we noted here and prompted outrage from pro-gun activists.

Nevertheless, Morgan is exactly right in this case.
