Pelosi’s Riot Task Force Recommends 24/7/365 ‘Quick Reaction Force’ to Protect Capitol (Video)
A task force empowered by Nancy Pelosi to review security following the Capitol riot on January 6th has recommended the formation of a “quick reaction force” of federal officers to provide security at that location.
The House Speaker announced in January that retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré would lead a team of experts in a security review of the Capitol following the riot.
“We suffered a devastating attack on the Capitol that threatened the lives of and traumatized Members of Congress, staff and support workers,” she announced at the time.
Fox News reports that Honoré’s task force made a series of recommendations, including “an increased National Guard presence,” “stocking up on mobile fencing,” and hiring nearly 1,000 additional USCP officers.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
They add that a “quick reaction force” – or QRF – is recommended, and “would be manned 24/7, 365 days a year, and cost taxpayers between $40 and $130 million annually.”
Capitol Riot Task Force Recommends Year-Round Quick Reaction Force
The report indicating a “quick reaction force” may be necessary year-round comes after lawmakers were reportedly sent home due to an alleged “plot to seize the (Capitol) complex” on Thursday.
The ‘plot’ surrounded a wild Qanon conspiracy theory that former President Donald Trump would take power again on March 4th.
The plot never materialized.
“The only people seen around the Capitol building besides staff and the National Guard were media crews and people exercising,” the Daily Caller details.
The Capitol riot task force and warnings of ongoing threats seem to be a bit much. There has been no ongoing violence since January 6th.
That didn’t stop ABC News from trying to turn the March 4th “plot” into a major news story, posting a tweet which read: “High security at US Capitol as Trump supporters gather hoping for his return to power.”

See how that’s worded. “High security … Trump supporters,” an effort to show one is a result of the other.
The call for “high security” was highly overrated.
See those marching National Guard troops in the ABC tweet above? Here is an image of the “Trump supporters” they found storming the Capitol in that very same report …

Even the Washington Post had to admit the threat at the Capitol on Thursday turned out to be a “mirage.”

“On the day when former president Donald Trump’s most delusional supporters swore he would return to power — and the House suspended its business because of supposed threats to the U.S. Capitol — Washington looked on Thursday morning much the way it has for the past two months,” the Post confirmed.

And From the Ashes … A Hero
Just because the Capitol riot task force and media reports of threats never materialized, doesn’t mean there weren’t any heroes on the scene.
Certainly, the National Guard troops are heroes. They shouldn’t be used as props for the Democrats to create sympathy for their cause, of course, but they’re most definitely heroes.
But then, there was one man. One man brave enough to confront the family of four in the ABC News report, and the various “people exercising” from the Daily Caller report.
His name is Al Green, Democrat Representative from Texas.

“I want to make a statement to let people know, those who would threaten those of us who cherish this freedom that we have here that we refuse to allow those threats to negate our freedom,” Green told The Hill.
Sends shivers down your spine, doesn’t it?
The only threat Green might have faced that day is a dehydrated jogger asking him for water.
Despite having egg on their face after warning of a threat that never happened – nor was going to happen – the United States Capitol Police have requested a little over 2,000 National Guard troops stay in D.C. for two more months.
