Oh, Canada! Eco-terrorists Attack B.C. Pipeline Workers As Cops Crack Down On Truckers

The clown prince of Canada is having his mask ripped off for all the world to see what a mendacious fraud he really is. He’s becoming a global laughingstock.

In hindsight, Stephen Harper’s conservatives had Justin pegged perfectly in their campaign slogan, ‘Just Not Ready‘. Justin Trudeau won anyway and went on to prove them right.

His handling of the Trucker’s Protest in Ottawa and elsewhere underscored what a lightweight he really was.

Not only is he facing criticism for his dubious use of emergency powers to crack down on the ‘terrorist’ truckers, but he has done so at the exact moment that actual terrorist violence has broken out in another part of the country.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

On the same day that key figures in the trucker protests were being arrested… without even being told what it is they were being arrested for, a group of armed attackers hit a camp of pipeline workers.

For bonus points, recall Justin Trudeau’s hand-wringing about the role ‘foreign money’ has played in the Freedom Convoy protests and his criminalizing of donors ‘affiliated with Trump’ (this was an explicit threat to the My Pillow founder, Mike Lindell, among others).

RCMP are investigating what is being described as a “organized violent attack” on pipeline workers, police and equipment at a Coastal GasLink drilling site near the Morice River in northern British Columbia.

Mounties were called for reports that 20 masked people, some of them wielding axes, had attacked security guards at the work site near Houston, B.C., shortly after midnight Thursday, smashing the windows of their vehicle.

“This coordinated and criminal attack from multiple directions threatened the lives of several workers,” TC Energy Corp., the company building the Coastal GasLink pipeline, said in a statement.

“In one of the most concerning acts, an attempt was made to set a vehicle on fire while workers were inside. The attackers also wielded axes, swinging them at vehicles and through a truck’s window,” the company said. “Flare guns were also fired at workers.” — Financial Post

The threats to their lives and the attacks to the equipment don’t tell the whole story. Not even close.

There were millions of dollars in damage done to the site, with the terrorists making it hard for the police to even respond to the call with blockades and attacks against them.

Police say when they tried to reach the worksite they were stopped by a downed tree, tar-covered stumps, boards with spikes sticking out of them and fires along the forest service road.

When officers tried to work their way through the debris, police say several people threw “smoke bombs” and flaming sticks, injuring one officer.

… The company says the confrontation occurred in the same spot where a blockade protesting the pipeline’s construction was set up last year for about two months. — Journal Of Commerce

Did you catch that last part about the months-long blockades last year? Did you hear Trudeau wringing his hands about the impact on commerce that would have last year? Of course not. Because he’s politically aligned with the foreign funders of such blockades. Despite what Trudeau would like to say about it, Canada is an energy economy, and attacks on the pipelines are just as direct a threat to the nation’s economy as a (partially!)-blocked international bridge ever was.

If Trudeau is concerned about violence, protests, the economy and foreign money… here’s some news for him:

Launched in 2008 by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation and the Tides Foundation, the Tar Sands Campaign is an international initiative designed to stop expansion of the Canadian oil industry, reduce demand for Canadian oil sands crude in the US and stop or stall pipeline and port construction. The goal is to shut down the export of oil from Western Canada by pipeline, tanker and rail.

…Krause found the Tar Sands Campaign is co-funded by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund—a philanthropic foundation created by the same family that founded Standard Oil – the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Oak Foundation, the Tides Foundation, the Sea Change Foundation, the Marisla Foundation and at least a dozen other foundations, mostly based in California.

In her January 2018 report “The Tar Sands Campaign Against the Overseas Export of Canadian Oil: Activism or Economic Sabotage?” Krause summarizes that the campaign is “a small part of a very large, global effort to foster a major shift in investment capital away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy. This effort also seeks to improve energy efficiency and the energy security.” But the effort isn’t small. Her research reveals that between 2009 and 2016 the Tides Foundation made at least 400 payments for $36 million to over 100 organizations in Canada, the US and Europe. Its website boasts $158.4 million in US grants and $65.2 million in international grants in 2016 alone. — Canada Free Press (2018)

But Trudeau will continue to treat the Freedom Convoy and a woman who literally prayed for the very people who would arrest her the day before it happened as the ‘real’ enemy we face.

Will the Truckers hold the line? Even if every last one of them gets led away in handcuffs, Trudeau has got to understand by now that he’s forever branded by his mishandling of this issue.
