Is Obama the “Founder of ISIS?”
Donald Trump is always under fire for his off the cuff remarks that are ruled offensive by both sides of the aisle and the mainstream media. His sarcastic remark that Obama “founded ISIS” is more of an actuality than what he termed “sarcasm.” And Hillary has a huge part to play in that as well. Let’s look at the facts:
When Obama got into the White House and appointed Hillary as Secretary of State, several things started to fall apart in the Middle East:
Iraq
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
By the time the U.S. left Iraq in 2011, ‘al-Qaeda in Iraq’- AQI- was a shadow of its former self and nearly destroyed. But with the United States mostly gone, Sunni Muslims that hated the American-backed Shia leader Nouri al-Maliki began to arrive  in a lawless area of Iraq.
Eventually after the death of AQI leader, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a new one came  on the scene: Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi- the current leader of ISIS.
Soon there was a shuffling of powers and re-branding of jihadist groups. Alliances formed and fell apart. But the group that labeled itself ISI – the Islamic State of Iraq began to prosper. By 2014, it became ISIS  and claimed they were rebuilding an Islamic Caliphate.
They captured large swaths of both Iraq and Syria, creating terror as they grew in strength.
“This is one of the first terrorist groups saying, ‘You know what? We’re not going to hit and run, and we’re never going to participate in politics as you know it. We actually want to kill everyone who disagrees with us.”  Ali Soufan, Counterterrorism Expert
Syria and “Arab Spring”
Bashar al-Assad was elected President of Syria in 2000. Though he ran unopposed, his was essentially a secular state. After massive protests inside Syria in the “Arab Spring,” the U.S. imposed sanctions that froze assets, limited travel, etc…and the EU and Canada followed suit.
Obama issued an Executive Order on May 18,  2011 which targeted him and a few other  Syrian leaders. By July, Hillary demanded that Assad step down because she said he had “lost legitimacy.”  The U.S. was working with and arming Syrian rebels in an attempt to unseat Assad.
If you recall, Obama tried to get Congress to declare war on Assad and use military intervention in Syria back in 2013.
To date, this has created a huge struggle for power between the more secular government of Syria, backed by Russia and Iran, and the jihadist rebels backed by the U.S..
Though ISIS is reportedly losing parts of their Syrian territory, they have also fanned out to create a global terror network via social media and the manipulation of information.
Libya
In 2011, Hillary Clinton pushed hard for Colonel Muammar Gaddafi to be removed as leader of Libya. She literally was in a push for war, and it worked, according to a release of recordings reviewed by The Washington Times in 2015. The Pentagon was so concerned that they attempted to undercut her plan by contacting Gaddafi’s son directly.
General Carter Ham, then head of Africa Command, did not recommend removing Gaddafi, because “It would make the investment and extent of American involvement much more uncertain than it is today.”
Too late, Gaddafi was killed in October of 2011.
The removal of Gaddafi created a huge power vacuum. By September 2012, American interests were in extreme danger- and because the Secretary of State viewed the jihadists as our “friends” whom she was arming,  she and her department refused to increase security  at a critical time. Four Americans died, and she lied.
The recent release of Wikileaks’Â Hillary emails corroborates these accounts, and links Hillary Clinton to the arming of ISIS. The searchable database of Hillary’s emails is at this link.
“So, for example, the disastrous, absolutely disastrous intervention in Libya, the destruction of the Gaddafi government, which led to the occupation of ISIS of large segments of that country, weapons flows going over to Syria, being pushed by Hillary Clinton, into jihadists within Syria, including ISIS, that’s there in those emails. There’s more than 1,700 emails in Hillary Clinton’s collection, that we have released, just about Libya alone.” Julian Assange, CEO of Wikileaks
Although Saudi Arabia has taken some responsibility for funding ISIS, the actions of American leaders have promoted and played into the formation of it. So was Obama the founder of ISIS? You decide.
