Move over Rachel Dolezal: White guy thinks he’s a Filipino woman

On Monday, WTSP reported that a white guy named Adam has decided that he’s really not white, but is Filipino.  On top of that, he identifies as transsexual and is considering changing his gender as well.

According to WTSP:

Ja Du, born a white male named Adam, now considers himself a Filipino. Turns out the purple ride he drives around in is called a Tuk Tuk, an Asian-derived vehicle used for public transit in the Philippines he says.

Ja Du is part of a small, but growing community of people who considers themselves transracial. It refers to someone born one race, but identifies with another.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Sound weird? Not to them. Ja Du says he grew up enjoying Filipino food, events and the overall culture.

“Whenever I’m around the music, around the food, I feel like I’m in my own skin,” he said.

“I’d watch the History Channel sometimes for hours you know whenever it came to that and you know nothing else intrigued me more but things about Filipino culture.”

Moreover, Dr. Stacey Scheckner, a licensed psychologist with a B.A. from Washington University, says there’s nothing wrong with this thinking.

“If someone feels that they feel at home with a certain religion, a certain race, a certain culture, I think that if that’s who they really feel inside life is about finding out who you are. The more knowledge you have of yourself, the happier you can be,” she told WTSP.

“And, as long as it’s not hurting yourself or anyone else, I don’t see a problem with that.”

WTSP said Ja Du hasn’t told his family yet because he believes they will laugh at the notion of changing one’s ethnicity.

And of course, the idea conjures memories of Rachel Dolezal, a former Spokane, Washington NAACP leader who was born a white girl with blonde hair, but later decided to identify as a black woman.

A post at Truth Revolt said:

This one is going to be tough for progressives. They will champion his gender reassignment all day long, but on the other hand, Adam is guilty of cultural appropriation. What’s a good leftist to do?

Good question.  WTSP added:

Many might question Ja Du’s intentions or say that he is a perfect case of cultural appropriation.

He knows this can be a problem, but says he’s not trying to take advantage of anything.

“I believe people will [take advantage] just like other people have taken advantage of their identity to get their way, but the difference between me and them Garin is that I don’t want that. I think that we all have the freedoms to pursue happiness in our own ways,” he said.

Of course, none of this should surprise us.  As Chris Collins reported earlier this week, a Pew Research poll shows that 77 percent of Democrats with a four-year college degree thinks gender is not determined at birth.

Collins wrote:

Okay, so who are those people teaching these millennials and other Democrats that nature, nature by God mind you, isn’t the one who determined that you should have uh… well you know, this and that for a man and this and that for a woman?

As Rush Limbaugh pointed out, “So the smartest Democrats are the least educated. The more educated the Democrats are, the stupider and more ignorant and literally crazy they happen to be. “Most African-Americans and a large percentage of Latinos seem to disagree that the parents and doctors’ are just guessing.” In other words, they disagree with this idea that sex is not determined at birth.”

What’s next?  Who knows…  On the bright side, at least he’s not identifying as a cat.

Paul Joseph Watson addressed this as only he can:
