Migrants turning Paris into open sewer

Anyone who’s ever spent any amount of time in the vicinity of a horse or cattle ranch, or especially an industrial swine facility, knows just how sharp the assault can be on the olfactory glands from the slow and steady buildup of feces and urine. One can only imagine how bad the smell really is if the waste material is emanating from almost 2,000 mammals, or in this case, migrants. Especially offensive is when the odiferous funk is on a slow cook in early June.

And that’s exactly what’s happening in the City of Lights. As reported by the Moscow-based RT.com and also by French reporter Sandrine Etoa-Andegue almost 2,000 migrants have been forcibly removed from one of the many “city gardens” that dot Paris after turning the same public park into a veritable open sewer pit.

As reported, fully 1,850 migrants were abruptly awoken at 7 am local time by an undisclosed number of fully geared-up Paris riot control police officers to clear out the shantytown. The clearing out of the makeshift refugee camp came after local residents complained to city officials of frequent gang violence and turning the Jardin d’Eole (Garden of Aeolus) city garden into a rather smelly “open-air toilet.” Ironically, the same city park is named after the Greek god of the wind.

While the bounced migrants – mostly Afghans, Sudanese, Somalis and Eritreans – have no place to hang their kufi after a long, hard day, the Parisian officials have matters well in hand. As reported, the booted migrants have been bused off to “temporary accommodation centers” in other parts of the Gallic Republic.

In the meantime, “Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo announced that the city’s first-ever international refugee camp will be built outside the French capital later this summer. In the meantime, migrants from all across Europe, including many who previously stayed in Calais, in the notorious ‘Jungle’, made a beeline for Eole Park.”
