Maxine Waters continues push for harassment of Trump administration officials

While appearing on Sunday’s edition of “AM Joy,” Maxine Waters, the California Democrat obsessed with impeachment and conspiracy theories involving Russia, tripled down on her calls to physically confront Trump administration officials, telling host Joy Reid this is something the American people want Democrats to do.

“Well, let me just tell you this, first of all, the people of this country, no matter Republican or Democrat, do not like the idea that children have been separated,” she said. “Republicans are making a mistake thinking they can hold on to that constituency, that so-called belongs to Donald Trump. On this issue, Republicans and Democrats, Independents alike are opposed to what is going on. And yes, people do want to see us being stronger and more forceful and to confront them on these policies.”

“And I’m hopeful that even Democrats having seen the kind of outpouring of protests over 700 incidences of protests this weekend, seeing that they will be more forceful, more confrontational and more prepared to push back on this administration. I think that the people are showing them, this-this is what they would have us do,” she added.

As we and others reported, Waters called for the public harassment of Trump administration officials during a speech in the Los Angeles area.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them! And you tell them that they are not welcome, anymore, anywhere,” she said.

That call led to ethics charges being leveled at Waters and calls for her expulsion from Congress.  The pro-Trump duo Diamond and Silk also said Waters should be deemed a “domestic terrorist.”  Some have also said Waters violated federal law and could face up to five years in prison.

Waters — a rabidly anti-Trump Democrat with a long history of violent rhetoric — has been listed as one of the most corrupt members of the House no less than four times since being elected in 1990.
