Maxine Waters Thinks 700 Billion People Lose Insurance Under GOP Bill. Only one problem…

Maxine Waters is the congresswoman for California’s 43rd district. She is also continually saying ridiculous things that make you wonder if the people of her district have completely lost their minds by voting her into office. This time she claimed in an interview on MSNBC that 700 billion people would be booted from their insurance under the GOP healthcare bill. Only one problem: there aren’t that many people on the planet, let alone in the United States.
Maxine is well known as a person who gets quickly confused and says strange, off the wall things. If you look at the above video you will notice that after she says “700” she pauses and looks to her right as if she’s looking for someone, anyone…a teleprompter, anything. Is that the first sign of Dementia?
One wonders about the interviewer, whether or not he even caught the gaffe.
Dear Maxine: the United States only has 364 MILLION people in it. In 2015 the ENTIRE WORLD only had 7.34 Billion people. Your figures are a little off. Just a little.
Before we delve into her tendency to be off the beam, let’s discuss Obamacare:
The Obamacare Debacle and Fake News
Here’s the main issue: the CBO claimed that the GOP healthcare bill would kick 22 million people off insurance coverage. That figure is not quite accurate, as it is based off estimates on how many people would be signing up for Obamacare initially. Actually, many Obamacare exchanges have gone under- which leaves that “estimate” inaccurate at best.
United Health Care, Aetna, Humana, just to name a few, have pulled out of the Obamacare Exchanges, which in some states have left a single insurer to choose from. By July of last year, only 7 Exchanges remained; the others collapsed.
After Humana planned to pull out of the Tennessee Exchange by 2018, the people of the Knoxville area – all 40,000 of them- would have been without an insurance provider at all. The state worked hard to bring in Blue Cross Blue Shield. Some of the insurers pulled out as far back as 2015. A third of US Counties had only one insurer to choose from as of February 2017, according o the Washington Times.
According to one report,
Tennessee already lost three other insurers in recent years. UnitedHealth and Assurant Health both pulled out, while Community Health Alliance, the state’s co-op insurer failed in 2015. Premiums jumped between 44% and 62% this year.
Tennessee Insurance Commissioner Julie McPeak said she has had many “challenging conversations” with the state’s two remaining insurers — BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and Cigna — about covering the Knoxville market next year. The carriers, however, want more flexibility to limit their exposure to sick, costly enrollees, she said. For instance, they are concerned that Obamacare eliminated their ability to cap their lifetime payouts to their policyholders.
Julie McPeak is not overly optimistic about the future of Tennessee’s exchanges without some regulatory changes. High premiums, over-the-top lifetime payouts, it’s a catch-22 for both the insured and the insurers.
The GOP healthcare bill does lower premiums for the insured, but does it give enough change for the insurers to benefit? There must be a solution somewhere that would be bipartisan in nature- except that people like Maxine Waters are not really interested in solutions. They’re more interested in Trump-bashing.
Maxine “Mad Max” Waters
Maxine Waters says things that are hard to believe. She once claimed that Putin was “advancing into Korea.” She meant Crimea, but who’s counting?
She called Trump cabinet members and aides a “bunch of scumbags.”
She referred to Trump as a dictator. “People are not gonna take this new president who thinks he’s a dictator.”
She refuses to grant the President any respect whatsoever: “I won’t rejoice in him being the president, I don’t honor him, and so I did not go to that inauguration. Never intended to go to it.”
She’s is a Trump-hater. In fact she hates him so bad, she has made no apologies about it.
Instead of disabled people in wheelchairs, the only person who should be dragged anywhere is Trump – down the hall, to impeachment.

She has accused the President of lying.

She hangs on to the dead Russia collusion issue with her talons and refuses to let go. She’s even pinned this tweet to the top of her Twitter Feed.

Recently, a Black woman constituent called Maxine a racist and went off on her for destroying the Black community by giving jobs to immigrants. The incident was previously reported at CFL.
“People are tired with your hate and your racism! All the jobs went to illegals! You have destroyed the black community! You are a black racist! You hate blacks! All the jobs went to illegals! You gave our jobs to illegals! We want you out!”
Then she went away angry saying,
“She’s gotta go! She’s paid taxpayer money to discriminate against American citizens, and we’re not going to have it! She’s been in office too long doing NOTHING! She lied to the black community saying she was going to bring us jobs. She gave those jobs to illegal criminals! We want her out! She’s been in office for too long! She’s already showing signs of dementia! She’s a hater!”
That about covers it.
