Mass Shooting at Charles University in Prague. Yes, Democrats, It Happens All Over the World.

The anti-gun lobby in the US contends that “mass shootings” are uniquely an American problem. They are not. We have written for years on the other mass shootings around the world, even in Russia which has strict gun ownership regulations. Now another one at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic has left at least 10 dead and at least 24 injured (not counting the suspect, who killed himself as police closed in). The death toll or injured toll may rise as this is a developing story. (Breitbart and AP)

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Unconfirmed reports are saying that the shooter, who was tenatively identified as David Kozak, may have been targeting the Jewish student union at the university. He was a history student at Charles University. However, police have not yet released a motive, and may not do so. He fatally shot his father prior to the incident.  The building was evacuated as a precaution in case there were any explosives. (No reports of any found).

The suspect is 24 years old and has a history of mental issues. Yet he eluded the strict gun regulations of the Czech Republic.

More gun regulations will not stop mass shootings:

“Still, owning a gun in the Czech Republic isn’t so easy. Permits are for 10 years and are reviewed after five years. People have to pass a written and practical test, as well as a medical check that includes mental health, and a clean criminal record...Mass shootings are rare in the Czech Republic, but not unknown. In 2019, seven people plus the gunman were killed in Ostrava, and in 2015, eight people plus the gunman were killed in Uherský Brod. There was also a case in 2009 with four victims plus the gunman.” Raymond Johnston at EXPAT CZ

A Federal judge blocked California’s new concealed carry gun law on Wednesday, citing that it violated the Second Amendment and deprived people of the right to defend themselves. The law was set to be implemented January 1, 2024. It banned concealed carry in 26 places, including churches, zoos, parks and playgrounds, regardless of whether a person has a concealed carry permit. The judge ruled that the plaintiffs would be likely to succeed in challenge to the law, based on the Supreme Court’s Bruen ruling. (ABC)
