Backstabbing President Trump is a bad idea, as it would be for any President. Two men who “testified” against him (from their personal feelings, not from real evidence) during the House impeachment hearings are now history. LTC Alexander Vindman (and his twin brother, NSC Attorney Yevgeny), were escorted from the White House and told their services were no longer needed on the National Security Council. Former European Union Ambassador Gordon Sondland was also advised that he is now recalled.
DoD gets soldier back
LTC Alexander Vindman took an immense amount of heat for testifying against the President while in uniform. But the telling part of his testimony was that he attempted to alter the transcript of the Ukraine call to make it more “accurate,” but failed twice. He also admitted that he shared the classified call with other people. His duties at the National Security Council were drastically cut back after the testimony.
When Rep Jordan asked the LTC who he shared the call with, Adam Schiff shut him down. Being shut down by Adam Schiff for any questions from Republicans was part and parcel to the House impeachment hearings.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Think about this: a member of the National Security Council shared a CLASSIFIED call with others. Should he be entrusted with national security secrets? Democrats whined that “gee he was just telling the truth.” Seriously, he shared classified information and attempted to alter a transcript.
Even with the so-called “missing phrases” in the transcript, the actual understanding of the call was not changed. No “quid pro quo.” Vindman will reportedly be reassigned back to the Department of Defense.
Ambassador Recalled
Gordon Sondland was the United States Ambassador to the European Union. He testified of a “potential” link to a quid pro quo, but never heard that link from the President himself. The word “potential” appears to have been missed by both the Democrats and the press. It was subjective testimony, as was that of LTC Alexander Vindman.
“I am grateful to President Trump for having given me the opportunity to serve, to Secretary Pompeo for his consistent support, and to the exceptional and dedicated professionals at the U.S. Mission to the European Union. I am proud of our accomplishments. Our work here has been the highlight of my career.” Gordon Sondland
Fox reported that Sondland was a Seattle hotelier and Trump donor prior to being tapped for the Ambassador position.
So was President Trump just being a vindictive ass? Think about this: if the people under him have “feelings” about what he does, and spread the narrative that the President has done something egregious, then they need to go elsewhere. Neither Vindman nor Sondland heard the President say anything that was actually “quid pro quo.” But Democrats jumped on it and used their “feelings” to paint the President as bad.
The swamp is riddled with people who run on their personal “understanding” of what is said, regardless of whether it is actual truth or not. Of course, Democrats are screaming bloody murder about these firings, claiming that they prove Trump is a dictator. If it were me in his position, they’d have been gone long before now.
Drain the swamp, Mr. President, until all the gators are gone.
