Lindsey Graham Demands ‘Full Scale’ Investigation Into Democrats Who Leaked Kavanaugh Accuser’s Letter

Who knew Senator Lindsey Graham would end up being the real ‘Spartacus‘ when it came to these Kavanaugh proceedings?

Graham has railed against Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee, promising a “full-scale” investigation into which Democrats or their colleagues leaked Christine Blasey Ford’s letter accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault from his high school days.

“We’re going to do a wholesale, full-scale investigation of what I think was a despicable process to deter it from happening again,” Graham said.

Democrats wanted a more thorough investigation over what happened and now they’re going to get it. Except, it’s going to encompass their activities as well.

During her testimony last week, Ford revealed that she had not given consent to release the secret letter that had been sent to Dianne Feinstein’s office on July 30th. It was conveniently leaked to the public and sent to the FBI on September 12th.

MITCHELL: OK. You’ve said repeatedly that you did not think that that letter that you wrote on July 30th was going to be released to the public, is that correct?

FORD: Correct.

MITCHELL: OK. And is it true that you did not authorize it to be released at any time?

FORD: Correct.

Only two congresswomen knew about the letter – Feinstein and Democratic Rep. Anna Eshoo who forwarded it on to the ranking member of the Committee (Feinstein).

How did it get out to reporters and the public? You may recall that there was much speculation in the media about Feinstein having a letter that she was going to forward to the FBI before she actually did so.

Graham also wants to answer several other questions, chief among them are what role Feinstein played in providing counsel to Ms. Ford.

“The FBI will do a supplemental background investigation, then I’m going to call for an investigation of what happened in this committee. Who betrayed Dr. Ford’s trust?” he continued. “Who in Feinstein’s office recommended Katz as a lawyer? Why did Ms. Ford not know that the committee was willing to go to California?”

Feinstein didn’t reveal the letter and didn’t share her legal suggestions with the Committee, most assuredly because it displays impropriety.

It solidifies the fact that Feinstein knew about the allegations leveled against Kavanaugh before the letter was released to the FBI on September 12th. It also suggests a level of strategic maneuvering between her and a woman she’s supposed to objectively evaluate during these hearings.

It was a setup.

Graham should be taken seriously regarding his threats, whether it’s during the ‘week-long’ investigation or beyond. If Republicans hold the Senate through the midterms he may very well become chair of the Judiciary Committee in January.
