Liberal Terrorism: GOP Rep. Self Cancels Event For Constituents After Death Threats

Threats received after he accurately called transgender Dem Rep. Sarah McBride 'mister'

On Friday, Rep. Keith Self, R-Tex., announced that he was canceling a meeting with constituents after receiving death threats and threats of violence.

In life as in war, there are times to engage and times to disengage,” he said on Twitter/X.

“In recent days, the rhetoric from the left has turned vile and hateful. My office received multiple death threats and threats of violence—several of which are currently being investigated by authorities,” he added. In truth, rhetoric from the left has been vile and hateful for years, but it seems to have gotten much worse after the 2024 election.

“Rather than place constituents, their families, and their property in harm’s way, I’ve decided to err on the side of caution and postpone Saturday’s Koffee with Keith in Greenville, Texas. I look forward to re-engaging with constituents again very soon.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The threats came after Self referred to Rep. Sarah McBride, D-De., as “mister,” recognizing McBride’s actual gender, during a House hearing on Tuesday.

Breitbart explains:

During a House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe Subcommittee hearing Tuesday, Self recognized McBride, who was elected as the first transgender-identifying member of congress in November 2024, as “Mr. McBride.” After doing so, Democrat Rep. Bill Keating (D-MA) had a meltdown over Self’s supposed “misgendering” of McBride.

The hearing was ultimately adjourned, with Keating yelling and pounding his fist while McBride remained quiet.

Self adjourned the hearing after Keating’s meltdown, and stood firm on his position.

On Thursday, McBride responded, calling Republicans “weird and bizarre” for being “obsessed with culture war issues.”

Self, by the way, is not the first to refer to McBride as a male.

Miller also posted this:

The vast majority of the responses on X to Self’s actions were supportive, with some reminding the Texas Republican that they were armed.

Good question.  When will these liberal domestic terrorists be prosecuted?

While most of the responses to Self’s tweet were supportive, some lashed out, including one person who was unable to tell the difference between the Texas state flag and the Confederate battle flag, something that could’ve been avoided with a simple Google search:

Perhaps Self should consider a bill addressing the issue of liberal terrorism, especially now that AG Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have indicated they aren’t going to tolerate this kind of behavior from unhinged leftists who think free speech gives them the right to threaten murder and burn private property.

Granted, communicating a threat is already illegal, but perhaps the penalties need to be re-examined (A few years at Gitmo?).  Liberals have been allowed to get away with this kind of terrorism for far too long.
