Leaked email shows Hillary planted town hall with gun control activists after Umpqua shooting
Four days after a tragic mass shooting at Oregon’s Umpqua Community College campus, Hillary Clinton held a town hall event in New Hampshire. Thanks to an email released by Wikileaks, we now know that campaign operatives planted gun control activists at the event.
“Here are short TPs about guns for the NH community college town hall tomorrow,” the email reads.
“This is not a town hall exclusively about gun violence — it’s just a regular town hall. But the person who will introduce her will tell a story about gun violence in her life, and there will be people in the audience >>> from gun violence orgs,” said Clinton speechwriter Megan Rooney.
“Since she won’t have a podium, rather than write TPs that cover her broader message, I just did guns.”
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
As part of the talking points, Rooney inserted a line indicating that Clinton would bypass Congress, ruling like a dictator on guns.
“As President, I’ll take on the gun lobby. I’ll fight to stop domestic abusers and people with mental illness from getting guns… to revoke the licenses of gun dealers who break the rules… to get military-style weapons off our streets… and to end the special immunity that protects gun-makers from accountability,” she wrote. “If Congress doesn’t act to prevent gun violence, as President, I will. That’s a promise.”
BizPac Review added:
The person chosen was Erin Kerwin, and the proposed talking points begin, “Too many families have stories like Erin’s – or worse.”
True to form, New Hampshire state Sen. Senator Lou D’Allesandro described Clinton as “a woman who’s not afraid to talk about guns, and who’s not afraid to address the issue head-on.”
He then brought up the Oregon tragedy, without mentioning that Umpqua Community College was a gun-free zone, before introducing Kerwin, who in turn introduced the candidate.
Sure enough, Clinton started the event by talking about gun control.
The Manchester Union Leader reported:
She proposed comprehensive background checks, repealing the law that grants immunity to gun makers facing lawsuits, a ban on assault weapons, tightening gun show and Internet sales, and keeping guns from domestic abusers and people with serious mental health problems.
But it was all faked… And nothing Clinton proposed would have stopped the Umpqua shooter.
