Kathy Griffin claims she’s been placed on a ‘kill list,’ blames Trump

On Monday, Kathy Griffin, the Trump-hating alleged comedian who made news with a highly offensive photo showing her holding a facsimile of Donald Trump’s bloody severed head, claimed on Twitter that she’s been placed on a “kill list” and is allegedly receiving death threats.  Naturally, she blamed President Trump and his supporters for her woes.

“In fact, I just found out I’m on a brand new ‘Kill List.’ Constant death threats and threats of violence toward me in very specific ways. None of the social media platforms I need to make a living and sell my tour tickets will step in and help at all,” she said in a somewhat lengthy Twitter thread.

She added: “So these people or robots or whatever feel more empowered. Trump, and his game criminals, and the right leaning alt-right media have not let up on me. You’re probably not aware of this because I’m assuming that if you are reading this you are not part of that group!”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

According to The Wrap:

Calling it “literally a relentless campaign,” Griffin went on to turn her attention to Ryan Seacrest, writing, “I hear Ryan Seacrest is ‘mad’ at me and spreading the word around” because she had hired a stylist who accused him of untoward behavior.

Griffin also said that someone “in the booking dept.” of Stephen Colbert’s show has a “‘bad taste’ about me in their mouth,” saying she’s heard it’s because her former publicist said something “that I am not privy to.”

Griffin also said that someone at “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” a “show I have done many times for free, ” has “a ‘problem with me’” and they’re “spreading the word around.”

TheWrap has reached out to a spokesperson for Facebook, as well as to a spokesperson for Seacrest, for comment on Griffin’s statements. A Twitter spokesperson told TheWrap on Monday, “we take all reports of abuse seriously and will take appropriate action on anything that violates our Terms of Service.”

There were those on social media sympathetic to her claims, but quite a few weren’t buying her claims:

There is that…

Griffin offered no proof of her claim and it seems from the Wrap’s report they were also unable to verify her statements.
