Kamala Harris and the Left are Blatantly Lying About Florida’s School Program Covering Slavery

Vice President Kamala Harris and her left-wing compatriots are blatantly lying about Florida’s new school program meant to teach children about slavery.

Harris insisted that Florida was pushing “revisionist history” with its curriculum on slavery.

“Just yesterday in the state of Florida, they decided middle school students will be taught that enslaved people benefited from slavery,” Harris said at a convention for the traditionally Black sorority Delta Sigma Theta Inc. “They insult us in an attempt to gaslight us, and we will not stand for it.”

“They dare to push propaganda to our children. This is the United States of America. We’re not supposed to do that,” Harris said.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“Adults know what slavery really involved. It involved rape. It involved torture. It involved taking a baby from their mother. It involved some of the worst examples of… depriving people of humanity in our world,” she added.

“How is it that anyone could suggest that in the midst of these atrocities that there was any benefit to being subjected to this level of dehumanisation?”

Fox News notes that the curriculum states, “Instruction includes how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit,” leading to countless critics accusing Harris of “brazenly lying,” and “misleading” the American people.

But Charles W, Cooke of the anti-Trump National Review went through all of Florida’s new teaching aids and found no instance at all of Harris’ claims that the teacher tools pushed lies about slavery. Zero.

Cooke called Harris’ claims a “brazen lie. It’s an astonishing lie. It’s an evil lie. It is so untrue — so deliberately and cynically misleading — that, in a sensible political culture, Harris would be obligated to issue an apology.”

The curriculum does not in any way say that slaves “benefitted” from slavery. Nor does the curriculum state that slavery was beneficial in general.

It does state that slaves were taught skills, but that does not mean nor is it stated that slaves benefitted from slavery.

The Florida curriculum teaches straight facts about the life of slaves. It does not glorify their state of enslavement.
