In an apparent bid to foment hate, division, violence and possible bloodshed, far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-MN, called Trump rallies “Klan rallies” in an interview with the Washington Post.
Jonathan Capehart, who works for the Post’s opinion section, asked Omar what it was like to be personally called out by President Trump, Breitbart said, linking to the full 30-minute interview posted to YouTube.
“I mean, it’s one thing to be, to have someone attack your community at large. It’s another thing when that someone is the President of the United States, and he is directly attacking you by name, personally,” he said.
“On a personal level, I have gotten accustomed to standing up to bullies in my life, so on a personal level, it hasn’t really impacted [me] besides my children be[ing] exposed to it,” Omar told Capehart. “And for the last two months of this election cycle, waking up every single morning to text messages from my siblings asking if I was safe because he chose to speak about me at every single rally,” she added.

Then she decided to call Trump’s rallies “Klan rallies.”
“It didn’t really matter where he was, multiple times in a day, as he had held his Klan rallies throughout the country,” she said about five minutes into the interview.

Keep in mind that when Omar smears these gatherings as “Klan rallies,” she’s not just smearing the president. She’s smearing every single person who attended them. And by extension, the 73 million people who voted for Trump.
As you can see in the full interview, Capehart never once pushed back against her false claim.
