Ignorance: The Biden Assistant AG Who Knows Nothing About a 1st Amendment Case

The old saying “ignorance of the law is no excuse” also works for ignorance regarding pending cases before the Supreme Court. Kristen Clarke is the Assistant AG for the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice. She testified at a Congressional hearing that she was “not familiar” with an important recent case involving Freedom of Speech.  Her lack of knowledge may mean that the DOJ is completely ignoring the 5th Circuit Court ruling and continuing to do what they’ve always done: work to censor the views of Americans.

Is this Assistant AG ignorant or lying?

Missouri v. Biden (also known as Murthy v. Missouri) came before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in 2023.  It was a highly publicized case, so either she lied to Congress or she really is ignorant. The case had to do with the social media censorship of everything from Covid information to the Hunter Laptop. The lawsuit was brought by three doctors, a news website, a healthcare activist, and ultimately the states of Missouri and Louisiana. The original ruling by Judge Terry Doughty stated that the actions of the US Government were akin to the Orwellian “Ministry of Truth.” The case is now pending before the Supreme Court.

“A federal judge has issued a sweeping injunction Tuesday that likened the Biden administration to an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth” and ordered numerous top federal officials and agencies to cease all contact with social media firms that could potentially interfere with First Amendment-protected speech.

U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty dropped a mammoth 155-page opinion on Independence Day, when most courts were closed. In his ruling, Doughty declared the federal government’s efforts to push back against disinformation campaigns related to COVID-19 as arguably “the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history,” in which it “almost exclusively targeted conservative speech” and “blatantly ignored” free speech rights.” Law and Crime

Since that 5th Circuit original ruling, numerous portions of it have been changed, now bringing the appeal before the Supreme Court.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

A group of social-media users and two states allege that numerous federal officials coerced social-media platforms into censoring certain social-media content, in violation of the First Amendment. We agree, but only as to some of those officials. So, we AFFIRM in part, REVERSE in part, VACATE the injunction in part, and MODIFY the injunction in part the States of Missouri and Louisiana. Missouri v. Biden

Kristen Clarke told GOP Reps that she was not familiar with the high-profile case. Every doctor who disagreed with the government was labelled a danger to the populace from “misinformation.” It caused loss of medical licenses, loss of careers, and ultimately deaths of patients that could have been prevented. News media had their posts pulled and labelled as “misinformation.” Others were blackballed from the conversation entirely.

Assistant AG Clarke’s response says everything you need to know about the Biden Administration’s ignorance … or their nefarious lies.
