On Tuesday, a hot microphone captured a group of unnamed “journalists” joking and fantasizing about assassinating former President Donald Trump as they awaited his arrival at the federal courthouse in Washington, DC.
According to Mediaite, the so-called journalists said:
JOURNO 1: You know what the worst part is? Even if he has his window open and he’s hanging out of it, he will be on the other side of the street.
JOURNO 2: I mean, if he’s driving, we’ve got a good shot!
JOURNO 1: Yeah, if he’s driving with the front window open?
JOURNO 2: Yeah, or if it’s a convertible?
JOURNO 1: Yeah. I wasn’t thinking about that.
JOURNO 2: Yeah. Like if he just pulls up–
JOURNO 1: Like JFK?
JOURNO 2: (laughs)
JOURNO 1: Maybe someone, just like they told JFK, “You know what you should do? You should take a convertible! It’s so nice out!”

The Gateway Pundit said the inappropriate remarks were captured on a live news feed from the Associated Press.
Twitchy correctly observed:
However much you think you hate the mainstream media, it’s not enough. Granted, we don’t expect to see this story highlighted in the larger outlets … of course, if it was two journos joking about assassinating Biden it would be every headline on every outlet everywhere.
And the FBI would already be investigating and raiding their homes.
We’re only sort of kidding.
“What the Hell is wrong with these people? Are they really so broken and horrible that they have no sense of right and wrong when it comes to Trump?” Twitchy asked.
The short answer is “yes,” but it goes deeper than that.
