Greater Georgia Supports Decision to Unseal and Review Fulton County GA Ballots
On May 21, Henry County Superior Court Judge Brian Amero ruled that the absentee ballots in Fulton County may be unsealed and examined for possible fraud in relation to the November 2020 Presidential Election.
Judge Amero said the specifics of the audit of more than 145,000 absentee ballots from Fulton County would be outlined in a future order.
As a result and a short time after Amero’s ruling, “Greater Georgia”, which was founded by former Georgia U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler and was created to protect Georgians’ freedoms and opportunities by registering more voters, reaching more communities, and strengthening election integrity, released a statement.
Greater Georgia stated that they support this ruling and that they look forward to the findings of the inspection.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Greater Georgia issued the following statement of support for this effort:
“Voter confidence in our election system is the bedrock of our republic. Unfortunately, inconsistencies in Fulton County’s November 2020 absentee ballots cast serious doubt on voters’ faith in our elections. An independent investigation even characterized Fulton County’s absentee ballot handling as ‘generally bad management,” said Chairwoman Kelly Loeffler.
Loeffler further stated, “While there is a dire need to investigate a number of other well-documented issues, we must also inspect Fulton County’s absentee ballots to reassure Georgians that their voices are heard and their votes are counted. The integrity of future elections is critical, and Judge Amero’s decision is a helpful step in restoring transparency, accountability, and voter confidence. We look forward to the findings and their role in promoting transparency and rebuilding faith in our elections.”
As previously reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Garland Favorito, a voting-integrity advocate, and government watchdog filed the suit in Fulton County to determine the extent of any possible wrongdoing.
This latest 2020 elections news comes on the heels of when the Georgia General Assembly passed the Election Integrity Act, which Governor Brian Kemp immediately signed into law.
