Senator Tim Scott, R-S.C., revealed that his office was the recipient of numerous “racist messages” and placed the blame squarely on “liberal Democrats.”
Scott (R-SC), the lone black Republican in the Senate, told Fox News that the messages were sent during his efforts to lead on GOP police reform legislation.
He told host Martha MacCallum that a pair of the messages were played for his colleagues at a lunch last week.
“I only played two of them, which were the most racially offensive comments from liberals in this country,” he relayed. “They called to say that I was in their crosshairs.”

Blames Liberal Democrats
Scott pulled no punches when it came to pointing fingers at who was behind these nasty messages – as if there would be any doubt.
“It was so profanity-laced, you can’t play five seconds of those videos on your show because there are that many f-bombs, the n-word – by liberal Democrats – causing a stir in my office, threatening my life,” he explained.
“It is the most audacious, repugnant behavior I’ve seen in a very long time,” added Scott.
Scott’s reform effort sought to promote minority hiring within police departments, use of a database to hold trouble cops accountable, and restrict chokeholds.
As Scott explains, rather than debate his reform bill, Democrats simply “walked away.”
They did so because there was no way in hell they were going to allow a black Republican to lead the way on this issue . Which seems a little racist.

Holding Democrats Accountable
So hey, media lemmings – When will you be blaming Democrat rhetoric for the death threats Scott is receiving ? You know, like you do every time a member of the Squad says they’re getting death threats and it’s President Trump’s fault?
It was just a week ago that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) accused Scott and his Republican colleagues of “trying to get away with … the murder of George Floyd.”

Prior to that, Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) slammed Scott’s police reform bill as “token” legislation, igniting a firestorm with the racially tinged comments.

Are these two prominent white Democrats not responsible, using your own rules of modern liberal journalism, for death threats and racial language that are echoed in these messages?
Of course not, the only people responsible for the vile messages to Scott are those that delivered them. But the media wouldn’t be covering things this way if he were a Democrat. You and I both know that’s true.
