Former Russian President Medvedev Threatens to Use Nukes in Ukraine…Again

Is Ukraine poking the bear? Or is Medvedev just a drunk?

After recent Ukraine drone attacks struck a building inside Russia, former President Medvedev stated flatly that they would not hesitate to use nukes in Ukraine if Zelensky’s forces manage to take back Donetsk and Crimea in their latest counteroffensive.

“By repelling the collective enemy’s counteroffensive, our Armed Forces are defending Russian citizens and our land. It is quite clear to all decent people.

Besides that, they are preventing global conflict.
Just imagine that the NATO-supported ukrobanderovtsy’s offensive turned out successful, and they took away a part of our land: then we would have to, following the President’s degree of 02.06.2020, use the nuclear weapon.

There would simply be no other way out.

That’s why our enemies must worship our warriors. They are keeping global nuclear fire from flaring up…” Dimitry Medvedev on X

The threat came after a Ukrainian drone struck an apartment building inside Russia over the weekend. Ukraine has not been particularly careful about whether they target inside Russia. And in fact, Zelensky has stated that they are bringing the war to Russia, and that it is absolutely fair to target inside the borders of the country.

“Currently, Kyiv is embarking upon an effort to recapture land illegally annexed by Russia in the Donetsk region and the Crimean Peninsula. While progress has been limited, President Zelensky claimed last week that his forces have recaptured some land in Zaporizhzhia province, which borders the Donetsk region.

Russia considers both Crimea and Donetsk, which are both home to large populations of ethnic Russians, as their own territory now and integral to its national security. Despite Medvedev’s threat of deploying nuclear weapons to protect “Russian land”, it seems possible the threat would apply if Ukraine reclaimed their own internationally recognised territory from Russian occupation.” Breitbart

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The problem is that Russia then will say it’s absolutely “fair” to utilize nuclear weapons against them. But is any of this based in reality or is it just bluster? Many X-users – some from Russia – stated things such as this:

“Dima, the world has reached a point where they are more likely to believe that you can stay sober for a day than they are to believe these empty threats of yours. Let’s note, though, that it’s also quite improbable that you can stay sober for a day.” @splendid_Pete

Medvedev has issued threats before- the threat of using nuclear weapons against the UK is a case in point. The issue, however, is that in 2020, Vladimir Putin issued a document that stated that if the Russian nation is threatened by NATO or anyone else, it reserves the right to use nuclear weapons.

Is Ukraine poking the bear thinking they’re immune from nukes? Or is former Russian President Medvedev just a drunk with nothing to do? Asking for the world.
