Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan appeared before Congress on Friday, July 12, to supposedly testify on the situation at the border. Instead, Democrats pounced on him, and at one point would not let him speak at all. After he dealt with AOC’s attempt to corner him, another Democrat, Jesus Garcia, came close to causing major problems by calling Mr. Homan a “racist” and accusing him of not caring about children.
“Do you understand that the consequences of separation of many children will be lifelong trauma and carried across generations? Have we not learned from the internment from Japanese Americans, Mr. Homan, I’m a father. Do you have children? How can you possibly allow this to happen under your watch? Do you not care? Is it because these children don’t look like children that are around you? I don’t get it. Have you ever held a deceased child in your arms?” Jesus “Chuy” Garcia
That’s when the fight started. The former Acting ICE Director said he “thought about throwing that man a beating right in the middle of the room.” We can’t blame him. Tensions are high, since Democrats refuse the truth and see what they want to see on the basis of an agenda. No one said anything about Obama’s separation of children at the border throughout his entire Presidency.
“This is out of control. I’ve served my country 34 years. And yes, I held a five-year-old boy in my arms in back of that tractor-trailer. I knelt down beside him and said a prayer for him. Because I knew what his last 30 minutes of his life were like. And I had a five-year-old son at the time. What I’ve been trying to do my 34 years serving my nation is to save lives. So for you to sit there and insult my integrity and my love of my country and for children, that’s why this whole thing needs to be fixed. And you’re the member of Congress. Fix it.”

On Fox and Friends over the weekend, Homan had this to say after the so-called hearing.
This hearing wasn’t about transparency, because every time the Democratic lawmakers say something that wasn’t right, I tried to interject and set the record straight. When the other witnesses throw out data that was completely false, I tired to interject. They didn’t want to hear the truth. This was political theater; they tried to push their narrative and not let me speak. So halfway during the hearing I say, enough, I’m going to interrupt; I’m going to interject; they can throw me out if they want. But what they wanted by the personal attacks on me and the men and women of the Border Patrol: they wanted me to get up and walk out. And I wasn’t going to give that to them … Halfway through that hearing I said, I’m not going to talk to them no more; I’m going to talk directly to the American people.
Every response I give is going straight to the American people. Thank God Jim Jordan was there; he fought for me to speak, because the personal attacks — they spent five minutes — that congressman that said “You’re not on the order,” screaming at me, he spent five minutes berating the Border patrol, ICE, and me. And when he was done, I wanted to respond. But he wouldn’t allow me to respond; he started to yell at me, telling me to shut up because he wanted to hear from an advocate sitting next to me that would support his false narrative.
This was nothing but political theater to push a false narrative against this president, this administration, the heroes of ICE and the Border patrol, and I wasn’t going to be silenced, so, they want a fight? I gave them one. Daily Wire
Then the former Acting ICE Director told the story of the little boy he held in his arms that was dying.

I got called to a crime scene; they flew me in; the Rangers kept the scene hot; when I showed up there’s 19 dead aliens that were in back of the tractor-trailer. I stood in back of that tractor-trailer with 19 dead people at my feet. Think about that. And there’s a five-year-old little boy that suffocated in his father’s arms. And his father was cradling him; his father also died. I knelt down beside that child, because I had a five-year-old at the time, and I said a prayer, because I knew, what was his last 30 minutes of life like. What did that little kid suffer; could not breathe; the heat in that trailer was incredible; they’re in a metal box. And I knelt down because I had a five-year-old son at the time and you look around and you’ve got all these dead people at your feet; I didn’t sleep for a week. Talk about my own son …
What I tried to make clear it that hearing is that it wasn’t about forcing laws; I tried to tell these people at that hearing, this isn’t just about enforcing laws, this about saving lives. When you talk about open borders, abolish ICE, and free medical care, you entice more people to put themselves in the hands of criminal organizations and they’re going to die. 31% of women are being raped. Children are dying. So I lost it; at one point during the hearing I said, “Do you understand people are dying? And you’re sitting there making a political game out of this. You can fix this. You’re Congress, you’re the legislature. You’ve spent 30 years failing the American people. How about fixing this and saving some lives? Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan on Fox and Friends
As the lies are pitched out to the American public and the media continues to push them as well, we are at a crisis point not just at the border, but in American politics entirely. There is coming a day, probably very soon, in which that crisis will boil over. That will not be a fun day.
