Federal judge green-lights lawsuit against San Jose by Trump supporters beaten after rally
On Wednesday, federal judge Lucy Koh gave supporters of President Trump the green-light to pursue a lawsuit against the city of San Jose, California, for refusing to provide protection after a campaign rally last year when violent leftists attacked Trump supporters. As we noted at the time, police stood back and did nothing, fearing their action might provoke more violence.
As a result, Trump supporters were assaulted, spit on, beaten, cold-cocked, egged, chased, tackled and bloodied as they left the San Jose Trump rally by violent liberal thugs.

According to CBS SFBayArea:
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The Trump supporters in this case claim that San Jose police officers intentionally steered them into an angry mob of protesters, following a Trump campaign rally last June.
We’ve seen video appearing on international local and national media that shows the police standing by as people were getting gruesomely attacked,” said Charles Moran is with the California Log Cabin Republicans.
On Wednesday, federal judge Lucy Koh allowed the lawsuit against the city and individual police officers to go forward, however she dismissed claims against Police Chief Eddie Garcia.
Last year, Mayor Sam Liccardo said the lawsuit was baseless.
“The notion that there was some stand down order is ridiculous,” Liccardo said.
But, some said at the time, Trump supporters were reportedly directed to go through the violent mob — by police officers.

Twitchy noted:
If federal judges are going to block President Trump’s executive orders based on things he said on the campaign trail, let’s hope that statement by the police about “weighing the need” to protect citizens has just as much influence in this case.
