Reactions to the FBI’s seizure of Mike Lindell’s phone have split largely along party lines. The Left loves it, but the right sees it as moving one step closer to a tyrannical police state.

The Event

Mike Lindell, best known as the ‘My Pillow Guy’ and a very outspoken supporter of Donald Trump, had a meeting with the FBI.

He was grabbing a bite to eat at a take-out window when the FBI waved him over and presented a warrant for his phone.

“I open my door and I say, ‘Who are you?’ And he says, ‘We’re FBI,’” Lindell recalled on his show, the Lindell Report. He said the FBI agents showed him their badges upon request and told him to pull over.
“He goes, ‘We’re taking your cellphone. We have a warrant for your cellphone.’ I go, ‘No.’ I said, ‘My whole company, I run five companies off of that. I don’t have a computer. My hearing aids run off of this. Everything runs off of my phone,’” Lindell said. “I said, ‘If I don’t give it to you, will you arrest me then?” At that point, the agents apparently handed him the search warrant for his phone.
Lindell said he was advised by his lawyer, whom he was allowed to call, to hand over his phone to the FBI. He added that he wasn’t given a chance to back up his phone.
Lindell claims the agents asked him questions about Colorado and Dominion voting machines, hinting at the purpose of the phone’s seizure. –WashingtonExaminer

The Reaction

The left LOVED it

Media outlets that have echoed and amplified every discredited accusation against Trump for years, and continue to bang the drums for issues still outstanding, were in a predictably triumphant mood. They envision Trump as a monstrous boogeyman lurking under America’s bed, and won’t be satisfied until that perceived threat is neutralized.

Even the tone of the ‘objective’ reporting has a heavy left-wing bias, with headlines like ‘Mike Lindell Mocked amid reports…’ or ‘Donald Trump Fumes Over…’, or (a few days ago) ‘Mike Lindell Hawks Prison Chic slippers… how fitting’.

These are the same media types who saw an actual Biden business associate confirm the authenticity of emails in the laptop, and assert that Joe Biden was getting a cut from Chinese Communist Party-connected business partners and buried the story lest it stop Biden from taking down Orange Man Bad.

The right wonders if America has become a one-party police state

Rather than give a detailed list of examples, we’ll let Trump’s post speak for itself.

The rules all changed once Trump challenged results

Not only has peacefully questioning an election been a valid act of political expression for years past counting, Democrats routinely cry foul whenver they lose to a Republican. You’d have to go back to Geogh H. W. Bush to find an election that Democrats did NOT stand up on the sixth January to try to claim an elector was invalid.

How commonplace is it? When the DNC had a panel of Governors in the summer of 2020, guess who was on it…? ‘Governor’ Stacey Abrams, who lost her election by tens of thousands of votes.

Where was the criminal inquiry or the outrage when the New York Times ran a story in August of 2020 that Hillary’s campaign manager, John Podesta went rogue while ‘wargaming’ the election posing as … Joe Biden. Biden’s Recent Appointed Advisor Should Trigger A FULL ‘Insurrection Investigation’ Into … Joe Biden

In a scenario where Biden LOST, Podesta refused to concede the election, pressured Governors to put forward alternate electors, used the J6 mechanism in his favor, caused a secession crisis on the left coast, and the New York Times article ends with an ominous unresolved question that will ultimately follow the lead of the militry.

This was after a scenario in which Biden LOST, and there was no outrage againt Podesta, no handwringing from the NYTimes. No criminal inquiry into Podesta. None of that. Instead, he got appointed to Biden’s administration for his good service.

But when Trump supporters point to serious concerns — including a white-hat hacker who told the state government in Georgia that he had managed to hack into an ACTIVE voting machine in real time as he spoke to them — DURING the runoff Senatorial election, they are dismissed as ‘election deniers’ not because the courts had found no evidence, but because it’s very difficult to get standing for such issues either BEFORE an election (no harm has yet occurred) or AFTER an election (when the outcome is already finalized).

What’s this really about?

To the left — including the media Big tech, and the permanent government class — America as they envision it won’t be safe again until Democrats run a de facto one-party state. They want Republicans to go back to being obedient lemmings who slow down their progress, but never change the nation’s compass headings to chart a different course.

Trump and his supporters are a threat to that delicate system and establishment types from both sides have set aside their differences to face that common threat.

This new wave of Trump voters saw this movement as an opportunity to tear down the revolving door system of political favor-trading and financial backing of patsies who advance private agendas.

Obvious election interference by Big Tech (Zuckerbucks, silencing damaging stories), not to mention a serious of inexplicable coincidences on Election night that ALL broke in Biden’s favor long after most polls had already declared their winners. More bizarrely, they all ‘just happened’ to occur in critical battleground states.

After steadfastly ignoring one riot after another — including violence at the door of the White House, and an assassination attempt against Republican-appointed SCOTUS members, they are getting a LOT of miles out of this so-called insurrection.

If they get their way, the right to a fair trial won’t matter… lawyers will be too scared to represent them for fear of getting the same stomping Trump’s current lawyers ahve been getting.

According to Dershowitz, Biden’s DOJ has already succeeded in creating this ‘chilling effect’.

Actions like these against Mike Lindell are just one more straw on the camel’s back.
