Facebook Fascists Ban Sound Of Trump’s Voice (Video)

I’ve seen a lot of insanity in the ten years I’ve spent documenting Facebook’s abuse of its user base on this site and elsewhere, but this takes the cake.  On Wednesday, the social media site once dubbed “Iron FistBook” by political cartoonist A.F. Branco, removed a video of an interview between former President Donald Trump and his daughter-in-law, Lara, Forbes, and others reported.  The reason?  According to an email reportedly sent to Lara Trump, content posted “in the voice of Donald Trump” is not allowed while he remains banned from the social media platform.

Seriously.  Here’s an image of the email as posted to the Gateway Pundit:

Eric Trump, Lara’s husband, also noted:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

According to Forbes:

Facebook said the rule applies to campaign accounts and former Trump surrogates, leaving an exception for news organizations posting content featuring Trump’s voice.

So it’s not just the former president.  The ban extends to those who once worked for him.  But as Joe Hoft observed at the Gateway Pundit: “Facebook treats dictators and terrorists better than they do President Trump…”

Breitbart added:

Facebook, along with Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, and a number of other major tech platforms permanently banned President Trump while he was still in office in January.

The act of permanently blacklisting a world leader drew international condemnation, including from European leaders and from the President of Mexico, who pledged to raise the issue of tech censorship at an upcoming international summit.

Tech censorship continues to be a top priority of Republicans, with the governors of Texas, Florida, and other Republican-controlled states planning to introduce measures to rein in the tech giants.

Forbes said the move outraged conservatives, the primary target of Facebook censorship:

The move drew immediate criticism from Trumpland, with Lara Trump saying the U.S. is “one step closer to Orwell’s 1984” and Eric Trump decrying it as “so horrible.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) blamed the “liberals running Big Tech” for the decision and renewed his call to repeal Section 230, the statute granting companies legal immunity from content posted by their users.

Lara Trump eventually posted the full interview on the video sharing site Rumble popular with conservative media personalities such as Dan Bongino and even Donald Trump Jr.

Here’s a video of the interview:

Welcome to “1984.”
