A drone strike deliberately targeted the sleeping quarters of US troops at a US base in Jordan on Sunday, killing 3, and injuring 34. The escalation in Jordan was bound to happen as the Biden administration allowed Iran’s proxies to attack our troops between 150-165 times since October 17 and only launched weak retaliation. This comes after 2 US Navy SEALs were declared deceased after a mission to capture weapons in the region. (Military Times)
The explosive-laden drone attack occurred at “Tower 22” – a US base in Jordan near the Jordan/Iraq/Syria border. According to several media, it is part of a network of bases that house US troops whose mission is to prevent the resurgence of ISIS. The base has around 350 US service members. The attack is considered an escalation at this point.
According to media reports, the drone trailed a US drone returning to base in the area and was thus able to bypass US detection systems. Some in the media called it “confusion” –not confusion, but a tactic that should have been countered before it happened.
Charles Lister, a Senior Fellow at the Middle East Institute stated that the Islamic Resistance group claimed responsibility for the attack.

A range of U.S. military responses will have been pre-gamed for a situation like this.
Bear in mind that as standard practice, #Iran will already have evacuated personnel from key sites & senior operatives will have gone to ground.

For its part, Jordan claimed (bizarrely) that the attack never occurred on Jordanian soil. Covering thier collective butts, no doubt.
US CENTCOM identified the deceased service members as: SGT William Rivers, 46, of Carrollton, GA; SPC Kennedy Sanders, 24, of Waycross, GA; and SPC Breonna Moffett, 23, of Savannah, GA. They were attached to the 718th Engineer Company, 926th Engineer Battalion, 926th Engineer Brigade out of Fort Moore, Georgia. Eight are in stable condition, the others are being treated for their injuries.

Some lawmakers encouraged the Biden administration to hit back “hard” at Tehran. Others stated they trusted the Biden administration would “respond appropriately.” Biden stated “we shall respond” to the escalation. What does that mean? The problem is that Biden has been appeasing Iran instead of taking a strong position – the result is loss of life. It is a price that our Military members understand when they sign up, but a price that should not be paid under a feckless, bumbling Joe Biden.
National Security Spokesman John Kirby continually says that the US doesn’t want a war with Iran, yet Iran is in a war with us. The deaths of US personnel bought home to this administration that there has already been an escalation in the Middle East. The real question is…what are they going to do about it?
