Emails suggest Hillary conspired with Democrat to manipulate Benghazi hearing

emails benghazi hearing questions DemocratDuring a report aired at Fox News, Catherine Herridge said that emails obtained by the group Citizens United reveal that Hillary Clinton and her team allegedly conspired with a top Democrat on the Benghazi committee to stage questions for the former Secretary of State.

“These emails were obtained by the group Citizens United, who is seeking records from the State Department including emails from Chelsea Clinton as well as Hillary Clinton’s closest aides,” she said, according to a transcript posted at the Center for Western Journalism.  “In this exchange from January 2013, Clinton’s media gatekeeper Philippe Reines writes to Chelsea with an update on the Benghazi hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Chelsea uses the pseudonym Diane Reynolds on clintonemail.com. It reads in part, ‘We wired it that Menendez would provide an opportunity to address two topics we needed to debunk: her actions/whereabouts on 9/11 and these email from Chris Stevens about moving locations.’ The first question at the hearing from Senator Menendez covered both topics.”

The transcript continues:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

MENENDEZ: Can you give us your insights on the decision making process regarding the location of the mission? And as part of that, can you also in your response — you touched upon it in your opening statement — but what actions were you and your staff taking the night of Sept. 11 and into Sept. 12?

CLINTON: Well, first, you’re right, Mr. Chairman, that there was an ongoing discussion…

“This email chain provides a rare behind the scenes look at which Benghazi-related issues the Clinton camp had concerns about going into Secretary Clinton’s January 2013 testimony on Capitol Hill, and what they had apparently plotted out beforehand with a Democrat committee member,” Herridge added.

Naturally, Menendez denied the claim:

Right… It was just a coincidence that his questions just happened to match what Clinton’s top aide said they should be.

If you believe that, I have a bridge in the Sahara Desert for sale…
