After the shots rang out, and the perpetrator was dead, the lives of nearly everyone who attended Trump’s rally on July 13 were dramatically changed. One man identified on the GoFundMe as Former Fire Chief Corey Comperatore, lay deceased in the bleachers behind President Trump. Two others seriously injured fought for their lives. And former President Trump was whisked away to a medical facility by the Secret Service. Even after the horror of that night, Donald Trump authorized a GoFundMe account to allow Americans to help the other victims. It is highly doubtful Joe Biden would have done the same.
The goal of the GoFundMe was $1 Million. By the next day, it had passed that number and was climbing rapidly past $1.6 Million. Even one self-described ‘registered Democrat’ donated $50. Most were ordinary people who just wanted to help people in need. That President Trump recognized the importance of those acts is admirable.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Even as support and love were being poured out across the nation, some on the left decided to make the assassination attempt about politics and gun control. Never mind the person who was killed, that was secondary to their leftist ideology.
The suspect was identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20. But it isn’t the perp that we want to talk about today – it’s the stalwartness and kindness of Donald Trump and his wife Melania.
I’ve written about Donald Trump for several years. I’ve interviewed former employees who absolutely love him. I’ve spoken to military servicemen who got in trouble with the brass because they loved him. He is also loved by police, who often abandon their leftist leaders to endorse Trump. He has helped countless ordinary people who were going through a rough patch. He donated his entire salary for all 4 years and never took a penny. By contrast, Joe Biden enriched himself and his family. All in all, the general consensus of all of those people is that Donald Trump stands for Americans first.
Melania Trump issued a statement after last night’s assassination attempt, and it is powerful as well as kind. This is a small excerpt from that statement:
“A monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine attempted to ring out Donald’s passion—his laughter, ingenuity, love of music, and inspiration. The core facets of my husband’s life—his human side—were buried below the political machine. Donald, the generous and caring man who I have been with through the best of times and the worst of times…”
“This morning, ascend above the hate, the vitriol, the simple-minded ideas that ignite violence. We all want a world where respect is paramount, family is first, and love transcends. We can realize this world again. Each of us demand to get it back. We must insist that respect fills the cornerstone of our relationships, again… Let us not forget that differing opinions, policy, and political games are inferior to love. Our personal, structural, and life commitment—until death—is at serious risk.” Melania Trump
All liberals should do some introspection. God saved our nation last night. Donald Trump came within millimeters of death. An assassination would not have brought unity, it would have ignited even more violence.
The GoFundMe account stands as evidence that the Donald Trump Melania talks about is fighting still in the midst of pressure we can’t even describe. One person who donated wrote:
“Angels, where you soar up to God’s own light, take my own lost bird on your hearts tonight; and as grief once more mounts to heaven and sings, let my love be heard whispering in your wings. ” Link Ray
