Democrat Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Facts don’t matter if you’re morally right

In an interview with Anderson Cooper, New York socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dismissed the relevance of facts, claiming holding the moral high ground is more important.

She then pivoted immediately to demonstrating that assertion, emotionally calling President Trump a racist without providing any reasonable material to back up the claim.

Cooper confronted Ocasio-Cortez on the Boston University economics major’s noticeable inability to use math to demonstrate where funding for her radical programs – like her Green New Deal and Medicare for All – would come from.

“One of the criticisms of you is that your math is fuzzy,” Cooper stated. “The Washington Post recently awarded you with four Pinocchios for misstating some statistics about Pentagon spending.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The Democrat darling responded essentially with a shrug of the shoulders, claiming facts don’t matter.

“If people really want to blow up one figure here or one word there, I would argue they are missing the forest for the tree,” she responded. “I think there’s a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right.”

Or you could try to be factually correct and morally right.

Ocasio-Cortez likes to pretend people take things out of context to amplify her glaring lack of intelligence, but her ‘gaffes’ as the media downplay, would make Joe Biden blush.

The reality is, facts do matter, and her inability to get a firm grip on them – ANY of them – should not be so easily dismissed.

Says Trump Is Without a Doubt Racist

Within moments, Ocasio-Cortez proved that facts are not her forté, claiming President Trump is a racist while providing little in the way of truth to bolster that notion.

Anderson Cooper: Do you believe President Trump is a racist?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Yeah. Yeah. No question.

Anderson Cooper: How can you say that?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: (CHUCKLE) When you look at the words that he uses, which are historic dog whistles of white supremacy. When you look at how he reacted to the Charlottesville incident, where neo-Nazis murdered a woman, versus how he manufactures crises like immigrants seeking legal refuge on our borders, it’s— it’s night and day.

What reaction to Charlottesville was that, the one where he waited to hear all of the facts before condemning violence on both sides, explicitly denouncing white supremacy?

“Racism is evil and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups,” Trump said.

And of course, the illegal immigration problem at the border is not a manufactured crisis to embolden racists, as border security and a border wall have been fought for by Republican and Democrat leaders alike over decades.

Is The Rejection of Facts a Theme For the Democrat Party?

It isn’t just radicals like Ocasio-Cortez dismissing facts in their quest to oppose President Trump. It’s even those who, laughably, are considered the lesser extremes in the Democrat party.

Newly elected House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently told Department of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen, who had been giving a briefing on criminals and terrorists detained at the border, that she “reject(s) your facts.”

Facts, they say, are stubborn things, but perhaps no more so than the appalling ignorance of the resistance party. Whether it be extremists like Ocasio-Cortez or entrenched politicians like Pelosi, facts no longer matter to the Democrats.

Here Are Some Facts On Why Trump Is Not Racist

On the campaign trail in 2016, then-candidate Donald Trump urged minorities to take a chance on his presidency. Those same groups have been reaping the benefits since, whether they took that chance or not.

The President has cultivated a roaring economy – one in which the New York Times admitted they had run out of words to describe because it was so good – for all Americans.

But his non-racist credentials were truly demonstrated when he drove down unemployment ratesfor minority groups, with African American, Asian, and Hispanic unemployment hitting near record lows.

Trump has also been an avid advocate of prison reform, supporting The First Step Act, sentencing reforms, and hosting a Prison Reform Summit where he sought input from over 100 activists, experts, and policymakers. He pardoned Alice Marie Johnson.

The ‘racist’ President also signed legislation turning the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr. into a national historic park, and designated a national monument in Kentucky to honor African-American soldiers during the Civil War.
