Democrat Plan to Keep Trump Out of Intelligence Loop?

There appears to be a plan afoot to deny Donald Trump access to critical intelligence information if he does get the Republican nomination. Citing the indictment over “mishandling” classified information (never mind that Biden did far worse), former CIA head John Brennan and Adam Schiff, former chair of the House Intelligence Committee, seek to prevent Trump from receiving the information he needs.

“Well, that is the practice, but we’ve never had a situation where one of the candidates for president has been so criminally negligent when it comes to handling, if not worse, when it comes to handling classified information. So I have to hope and knowing the intelligence community as I do, that they will dumb down the briefing for Donald Trump. That is, they will give him no more information than absolutely necessary, nothing that would reveal sources or methods because we can’t trust that he will do the right thing with that information. He’s been so reckless. So yes, it does concern me. It is part of a long tradition. They will be wary of what they share with him, and they should.” Adam Schiff in response to NBC host Kristen Welker

Then there was the response to MSNBC by John Brennan:

Brennan told Wallace, “It’s somewhat surreal that an individual who is under indictment for mishandling classified information is going to be getting classified intelligence briefings.”

He acknowledged that it is “tradition” for sitting presidents to offer these briefings, and thus “it makes sense” for Biden to do so. However, the former CIA boss hinted that intelligence leaders will not be giving particularly sensitive information that Trump could abuse.

“Now, I’m pretty certain that my former intelligence colleagues will provide briefings that are not going to do any type of damage to sources and methods in terms of providing information to Donald Trump that he could misuse.”

Brennan detailed what might be in a Trump briefing, stating, “But they will provide analytic overviews and briefings about some of the world’s hot spots, letting Donald Trump know what the assessments are at this point.” (John Brennan to MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace)

This is an attempt to cut the next Trump presidency off at the knees based on a false narrative. Why? Because these swamp-dwellers hate Donald J. Trump. Keeping the nominee out of the intelligence loop would not just be unprecedented, it would seriously hamper him from being able to make informed decisions. National Security could very well be at serious risk.
