Apparently motivated by Sunday’s season seven premier of Game of Thrones, Neera Tanden, president of the far-left wing Center for American Progress, issued a tweet suggesting Arya Stark become the “flag” for the anti-Trump “Resistance.” Sounds cute, right?

Writing at the Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro first observed that Tanden is a former policy director for President Obama, and said there are two problems with her suggestion:

…First, Arya Stark is an assassin. Yes, she’s a kicka*s character — she’s fun to watch. She also goes around killing leaders. In fact (SPOILER ALERT), she says mid-way through the Season 7 premiere that she’s going to attempt to kill the current queen. So if the Democrats are attempting to tamp down the violent rhetoric, they’re not doing a very good job of it.
Second, Democrats keep searching for fictional counterparts for their current situation. First, they cited The Handmaid’s Tale as a sort of apocalyptic vision of the Trump era. Now they’re moving on to Game of Thrones. The only common theme seems to be that if a show is prominent, it must be a metaphor for Trump’s America.
Wait, what? Is Tanden suggesting that President Trump be assassinated? And is she further suggesting that her fellow liberals jump on the “kill Trump” bandwagon?

Not saying this was her intention HOWEVER, a source who actually watches the show says at the exact moment that Neera was tweeting this, Arya was revenge-murdering a room full of nobles.

Very good question.
Liberals, as we’ve reported here time and again, have called for the murder of Donald Trump and those who support him. One Bernie Sanders supporter apparently took the message to heart and tried to murder as many Republicans as he could. Sadly, one GOP representative was shot, but it seems the increasingly-insane left apparently won’t be happy until there’s rivers of blood in the streets.
It’s enough to make one think these people really do want a second, bloody civil war over Donald Trump.
